Too many backlinks from the same site

I have been busy building links to my website for a while, and there are around 690 inbound links to my site from other sites at this moment.

However, more than 300 of the backlinks are coming from only one site - homeaffiliate.com. I posted a couple of comments on their blog, and now hundreds of links are coming in from their site.

Have they some kind of automation on their site? Will Google consider it as spam? Is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks for your opinion!

You should be fine with multiple backlinks from the same site. Google just won't count them as much as if they were from different sites. One of my websites has well over 10,000 backlinks from the same site, and it has actually helped my rankings as opposed to hurt them.

    No.

It won't be worth nearly as much as 300 backlinks each from a different site, but it'll still be worth a whole lot more than 1 backlink from that site. Nothing to worry about at all, here. I'd be more concerned about making the tide retreat, in your position ...

I use scrapebox religiously, Daily; creating profiles and blog posting and I am positive that I have blasted single sites with well over a few hundred links overtime. Depending on how long it took for these links to develop I believe that you should be fine. Especially if they were created from within the site from users or site Admin.

FYI: My site is fine. lol

No worries at all my friend its not only with one or two person confirmation...i have used FTS for several clients and if you track those blogs most of the time all links comes from same site and finally you climb google ranking day by day.

so no harm in fact it helps.

    thanks.

Too many backlinks from same site will not hurt you. What if I use my site to backlink 300 links to your site? Think about it...

It won't hurt your site. What most likely happened is that your anchor text went onto every page on the site under a "recent comments" section. This happens from time to time.

Now just because it doesn't hurt your site, it doesn't mean its going to help it. The best link building campaign means getting your links from different root domains hosted on separate IPs. Even better is to find different root domains hosted on separate class C IPs.

Of course I'm not going to dig too deep into the rabbit hole here, but I think you get the idea. It won't hurt but it doesn't necessarily help if that makes sense.

i'm not sure it'll hurt your site in anyway. go one but just make sure you spared them all over (no spamming and not on low-reputation sites too)

Just think about a footer link on another site to your site. Then every single URLs from the other will count as backlink on your site. Does this count as spam? I would say No. So, I think you don't have to fear anything.

Thanks for all these answers! I have had the same experience with a brand new site of mine. I left one comment on a blog, thankfully it was a good, high ranking blog, and the next day when I logged in to my new site I had 69 backlinks. I knew I had not built those, so I checked it out in Backlink Watch, they all came from that site. And the next day I had a total of 130 backlinks! I was getting worried and wondered if it would be bad for my site? After reading these answers I am not so worried anymore!

Find out for yourself. Go to sites that are ranking above you and go to Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch then see how many of the same sites are backlinking to that site.
