Advertising on ezine ads for ebook sales?

Hi Guys,

I have my first ebook done and completed, I am currently working on my sales page and optin page and would like to start traffic generation to my optin page, than convert those leads into sales via email marketing.

What are some of your thoughts on using ezine solo ads as traffic generation, I would like to quickly test my sales page and optin page.

Let me know what you think,

Thanks

You can use ezine as a means of back links to your site and this will help. However it also helps even more if you have a software to mass submit those articles and create a viral link back to your capture page. I can help you in this area my friend. Let me know

I am not interested in backlinks at all, as of now. I would like to just test my offer and see how it performs with targeted traffic

If the niche has a well-known targeted ezine... it could be a good idea to quickly test your funnel with a solo ad.

(seemingly, leadmonster had no idea what you were asking)

If you want to quickly test, then nothing beats PPC advertising for that. You have
an optin and sales page, so that makes things near impossible with adwords. But
you can test that with yahoo/bing and others such as Adbrite or even the larger
    secondary search engines.

I have used ezine solo ads but not in recent times. You have much less control
here than you would with PPC testing. Each solo ad is a one-shot deal. Of course
you can do it again, but for the money you could get thousands of impressions with
PPC ads - depending on your niche and cpc, etc.

You do not want to run an ezine ad in a lower quality publication, so that means
you will have to wait a while, weeks possibly, to see your ad run.

In the meantime, you can perform excellent testing and optimizing of your squeeze
and sales pages and be long gone before an ezine ad, in a good quality ezine, ever
runs. But it all depends on which ezine you use. Then, you have to find the better
quality ezines to run your ads in.

You mentioned, quickly, so that is why I brought up PPC ads.

I use solo ads quite extensively - almost daily because they are very effective when targeted to your market. Try finding ezine publishers who have a similar theme to your ebook. A very powerful research tool I use is the Directory of Ezines (directoryof ezines.com). It lists ezine publishers by market niche, number of subscribers, demographics, ad rates, publisher contact info, etc. Highly recommended. Another resource is the JV Forum.
