Amazon Commissions

Most Amazon affiliates (or potential affiliates) are aware of the standard 4% - 8.5% commission rate for products sold on Amazon.

However, you might not be aware that there are some new services that offer higher commissions.

Here's the latest commission table in case you haven't seen it lately:

Electronics Products 4.00%
Amazon MP3 Products 10.00%
Amazon Instant Video 10.00%
Game Downloads Products 10.00%
Endless.com and SmallParts.com Products 15.00%
Amazon gift Cards 6.00%

    They're also now offering commissions up to $155 for referring people to Amazon's new Product Ads program: product-ads-associates | Amzn Services

    And $50 in commissions are available for having people sign-up for AmazonWireless. Check in your Associates dashboard under "Affiliate Programs" for more information.

    I've been doing OK with the MP3 commissions. You need to get pretty good volume, though, even at 10%.

    How do you know you sold 3 products? Are they showing on your dashboard? Did you (or a family member) order the products? I can assure you that Amazon is not a scam.

      Your account will credited once they ship the products..Amazon is one of the best affiliate programs worldwide and majority of sales comes from amazon affiliates..

    Commission payouts based from when the vendor ships the product. Sometimes there can be a delay.

    If I sell something/get a commission today, how long will it take for me to see that money? Just thought I'd ask since many of you seem to be affiliates.

      I knew Amazon had tiered commission rates for certain products. I didn't know that those percentages went up to 15% though. Thanks for the info.

    I should have phrased that better. I meant is it being shown under "orders placed". I know the commission amount doesn't show up until the product has been shipped.

    I remember when I used to frequent the Amazon boards several people had family members purchase things on the Associate's computer and then were confused when they didn't get credit for the sale. I wanted to make sure that wasn't the case.
