Trying to Get hired for jobs and stuff? NOT working!

So I bought an out-sourcing book. Figured out how to make a lotta money by being the middle man.

Now I'm trying to get hired to do jobs, or people to buy my jobs, and nobody is doing it on this forum. Where can I do this?

The jobs I'm offering are Graphic Design and Article/Blog writing...

HELP PLEASE!

Like the above poster said, Elance is a great place for jobs like that especially in the Graphic Design, you can also try Odesk.

For the Article Writing, if you're from the US, i suggest you to try Associated Content, they pay upfront.

    Cheers.

Yea I don't wanna outsource things on Odesk. It seems kinda cheesy. Plus I have to sign tax stuff and I'm only 16.

Books are great, and I applaud anyone who takes the time to read "how to" and "do it yourself" guides, kudos to you for that
There are a few websites like the one's mentioned (Elance, Ifreelance, Odesk).
I would like to say though that even if you do use those sites to try and find clients, it will always help to have experience to add to your resume or list of skills.
There are a lot of outsourcing companies out there who are always looking for dependable work at home contractors and some of them are willing to train.
This could give you the experience you need to see how to go about starting your own freelance business.
You might try google something like outsourcing companies or virtual assistant services and find a company that you like and try to get hired with them
Also, about the tax thing... do not ever try to get around paying your taxes, bad idea and it will catch up to you eventually.
      Best of luck to you!

Hmm... being the middle-man sounds great, but remember -- you're going to be responsible for the job your outsourcer does. If they don't follow through, your neck is on the line. It's a lot like being any other employer.

If you're still wanting to do it, try looking for workers on Craigslist -- I've heard of people having great success there. You can also advertise at your local college. Figure out where the average person who likes writing for money but doesn't want the hassle of dealing with clients themselves (even if it pays more) hangs out, and go there.

Same goes for finding clients. Who's looking for an outsourcing team? Usually high-volume clients. Figure out where they go, and you're in business.

Have you considered doing it off-line?

Contact businesses in your area that aren't likely to have ad/mktg depts and see if you can get jobs from them.

Put an ad on Craigslist for your area, or in your local paper, looking for specialists in certain fields who can do the actual work. A great place to find qualified people is at the local college arts department or art school. They're often willing to take a lower fee just to gain the experience and build a portfolio.

Be sure to check these people out, too. Get references - teachers, any clients or volunteer projects they've worked on.

When outsourcing, make sure you are involved in the entire process. YOU take the work, check it out, and deliver it to your client. Don't let your outsource do that. That's how you keep tabs on the quality of the work your client receives.

The reverse is also true. YOU take the project from the client. If necessary, YOU sit in on any necessary meetings between your client and your outsource. That way, you'll stay involved in the process.

Present yourself as "a business" and your outsource is "your graphic designer". Avoid revealing that you are passing the work to an outside source. Clients like to think they are working with one reliable company, not someone who's going to pass the work along.

YOU take care of the money - Get a price list from your outsource so you can quote the project yourself. Better yet, take the project to your outsource and ask what they'd want to do it. Tell the client you need to go "back to the office and do some calculations", rather than giving a quote on the spot.

This way, you'll be able to add your own fee onto what the outsource wants before quoting the client.

It's important to track everything for tax purposes. Trying to avoid taxes can destroy you in the end. It's not worth it. Just because you're 16 doesn't mean you don't have to pay taxes, at least not here in Canada.

The best idea would be to show some samples of your work or samples of what you can do... people will be able to see the quality you're offering.

Honestly, if you can't show people the quality of work that you can do, your not gonna get hired.

There are plenty of opportunities on this for formum to make money, IF you present yourself professionally and IF you have something of value and quality to offer.

Your dealing with lots of very savvy online business people. Many are looking for graphics, even less than the best, if the price is right, and many are looking for high quality and willing to spend for it.

Look around at the other designers and what they are offereing and their skill, and evaluate yourself accordingly. You will have to be very honest with yourself for sure.

I have found that many do not or can not tell the difference between a average photoshop owner who manipulates graphic images and uses basic web skills vs. a professional graphic designer. So your chances of making money are increased because of this, IF you can produce what people are looking for, at a reasonable price.
