Newbie Needs Advice From the Pros

I would like to get the professional, experienced opinion of members on the board. I'm (somewhat) new to IM (5 years), but ready to go in a different direction. Here goes:

I write on 10 (~new) niche blogs that I have a passion and interests in. There's everything from health and fitness, to designer handbags to debt reduction. Now, as for income streams, it's not there yet, at all, but blogging is what I love. I am planning to monetize them with affiliate marketing, article marketing and adsense. But, that takes traffic and trafffic takes time. So,

1. I don't have much daily time to devote to any other project(s) other than blogging. (family, kids, etc.) I work 5 hours a day.

2. How can I generate an income from my (fairly) new blogs in the meantime? What else should I do while I wait?

My desire is to blog, draw traffic and sell various appealing products that are related to my niche blog. The only way I can see to do that is slow and steady, but I do need something else that's going to make money.

Not in a hurry, but I do want to be realistic. What do you think?

I am willing to learn and work hard, especially if I see a return on my hard work.

    Given what you've said about traffic generation and your desire to simply 'blog it out' I'd just concentrate on doing what you love, which is producing quality posts and content and make sure your site has very simple ways for users to share your posts with their friends (i.e. facebook like buttons, send buttons, twitter share buttons, etc)

    Using this method, all you will have to focus on is creating quality posts/content and the users will grow your traffic for you through word of mouth.

    Monetizing this then becomes a matter of doing product reviews you believe will be helpful to your audience or building a list through your sites or simply attempting to draw from your traffic using clever placement of google adsense on your blog posts.

    Also, all of these ideas can be used right away to start seeing a return on your work. The traffic will come.

    I'm not a pro, but I hope this gives you some ideas.

    I would hang in there..I would pick a single niche and stick with it..
    Not only that BUT if you like BLOGGing this much then maybe you should sell blogs..I need one and will pay 20 bucks or more for it..as long as the quality is there...

    Send me a PM..I will also PUT up a Review of your services and on the quality of your product right here on this thread....But i must tell you,I will also mention if your service sucks ....Or your product...

    Ops... STOP...

    If you decide to write on 10 different niche blogs and make money of all of them, you are going to wreck. Yes WRECK... That's not the way to do it.

    Just pick one blog that you are most passionate about. And start from there.

    Just keep on writing and concentrating on that single blog. Write product reviews. How to's about products & how some particular product helped you solve .... problem. Anyway you just need to keep in mind that you have something to sell in your content rich blog post.

    This works on the simple fact that you make money if you put something up for sale...

    So keep on concentrating on that one single blog until it makes you enough recurring monthly income. Once you reach a satusfactory income level then think about moving ahead and working the next blog. This is what will work every time.

    If you plan to be a super human. Sorry to say, it's a disaster plan... Stick to one and keep on working... Don't stop until you get what you are working for & you'll win.

    It is fairly simple to monetize your blogs....Just get those ads on there and don't waste time....You can probably set up ads in under 15 minutes...Just get it done and then you can concentrate on what you love!
