Hi everyone. Thought it may be worth posting this as it's causing a big stir in the Corporate world. Make sure your Windows patching is up to date. Here's the link to the MS security bulletin: Microsoft Security Bulletin MS08-078 - Critical: Security Update for Internet Explorer (960714) Tim |

Tim I've just updated and my MPEG 4 codec has disappeared. Did this happen to you? Martin |

Hi Martin. My MPEG4 codec still seems to be working fine. Not sure why that has happened to you. Tim |

You know that's interesting. Notice it says IE 6 and IE 6 SP1? I have SP2 so I wonder if mine is okay? In either case, I hardly use IE anymore. Only for 2 sites that don't work well in Firefox and I know they're both safe. Heck, one of them is Aweber LOL. Still, I wonder if I need this patch since SP2 wasn't mentioned. |

You're right Steven, it doesn't mention it, but to be on the safe side I would run Windows Update anyway as it will then install it if it needs to. Regards. Tim |
