Where to offer article writing service?

Hello warriors!

I want to offer my article writing service but I don't know where to look for!

I've stumbled upon textbroker but their user policy is restricted to US residents :confused:

I've tried offering a service on fiverr and writeswap but my gigs have little or no response...

I just want to have a solid 10-20$/day income doing stuff I enjoy doing (and that is writing articles)

Help greatly appreciated!

    You might be better off just offering your services directly to the IM community on here and other related sites. If you just want to write, you could try associatedcontent, although they took a pretty big traffic hit.

      Why not spend $20 and throw your offer up in the "Warriors for Hire" section? I've got a lot of long term clients doing that. Well worth the investment. You'll have no problem making $10 to $20 a day writing for others.

          Meanwhile, it will cost you nothing to use a free blog as a little website to promote your service, rather than just having your email address in a sig-file. You need a website, to promote a professional service, and you don't have to pay for this (and it's what all your competitors here are doing).

            Very true... that's a good intermediate step between here and a WFH ad.

            I did this too... before I had the cash for a domain name, I made a Blogger portfolio (Wordpress rejected me when they saw I was selling something). You can tweak it so much that it doesn't even look like a Blogger site anymore, except for the domain name.

            If you go this route, here are the pages you'll need:

            --Home
            --About
            --Samples
            --Services/Rates
            --Contact

            Google Docs provides a way to build forms and easily insert them into web pages -- that's the best way to do a "contact" page for free and have it look professional. You can also just provide your email address, but that requires them to click on the email address and compose the email instead of filling in the nice, easy form...

            On the "samples" page, include both previously written articles and links to published articles, if possible.

            And the "about" page should probably have a summary of your experience, publications, etc.

            Services and rates... pretty self-explanatory. You can even insert a button through Paypal, Digiresults, or whatever other payment service you use.

            Oh, and make sure you've got some testimonials in there ASAP.

    Earlier today, I posted a list of places to hire freelance writers. That might help you find the existing pools of clients.

    In addition, I'd like to second the Warriors for Hire idea.

    Cloudcrowd and Fiverr are good for making the $20 you'll need to post an ad. Make sure your ad copy is kickass, consider offering free review articles to 3-10 Warriors (your choice how many), and make sure people can see samples of articles you've already written. Have a clear order process and refund policy, and if you've got friends here, PM them to ask if they'd post a good comment in your thread.

    Link to your ad from your sig and post helpful stuff in threads, both related to articles and writing and not -- wherever you find a thread to which you know the answer.

    Warriors for hire is definitely the best place but if you just like writing articles, you could try helium or theres also a tips site where you get paid like 3 bucks a tip.

    other options including squidoo and hubpages if you want to write yourself.

    A great way to go would be to offer a WSO or go to the Warriors for Hire sections here at Warrior Forum. You will certainly get responses because there are many people looking for those services here.

      Thanks for all the answers, yeah I guess it's pretty stupid of me to keep my e-mail address in the signature field + I've somehow managed to win myself a dozen of spam mails since (coincidence? ;-) )

      Looks like the website is an obvious must then, so be it! ^^
