Other ways than Article Directories

Until now I have 2 article directory sites. But after Google changed their algorithm of sites it is now hard to keep my site active. They have already closed my site twice because of "poor quality", so poor quality for me is not original content.
Visitors are only posting crap on directory site this days. So it will be hard to monetize my site to start earn money as Google is keeping my site de-indexed.

My question is if it is other ways to start earn money, for example with Adsense. How to fill my site with good content?

How are You keeping your site indexed in Google?

    Why not concentrate on putting great content on your own blog and then backlinking the posts.

    I know it's an unsexy way to make money these days, but surprisingly this old dog still works.

    You can place as many adsense ads etc on your site as you like. However, with the new algo change, Google prefers to promote blogs that actually have a community. This is measured through bounce rate and the returning visitor stat.

    Well you would be happy to continue with article directories, but it is so hard to keep up the original content. Maybe there is a way to make it?

    there are many ways to keep your site indexed by google.

    Keep it updated, integrate it with wordpress blog.
    In every post bookmarked it.
    Submit it on google webmaster tools.

      I would not give up on the directory yet. Just change your strategy to attract people who offer quality, original content.

        That is what I want to do, continue with article directories. But as I said it is hard with original content.
        After my site where de-indexed by google I totally deleted all posts/articles and started to check for plagiarism on other site before publishing it.

        I had about 10 post when Google considerate my site but still it didn't pass :-( and I was sure that articles where original. Well there where some sentences that where on other article but in total articles where unique.

        Maybe there is a good way to check for duplicate content, or a good plugin in WP for that?

    Try and create some good quality articles for your blog, like learning about something, teaching others stuff like that and then promote them and you will see that you will have your blog indexed.

    Get some good keywords that have low competition using Adwords and combine it with Micro Niche Finder which is old but still works great! Use this tool to find markets that are untapped. I have many niche sites that collect revenue from ADsense.

    You can also bookmark your articles using Pingfarm.com or Pingomatic. I also use web 2.0 sites with back links to my sites or blogs. Which bascially tell Google 'index me' if your niche keywords and content are orignal and unsaturated if you will. You will be indexed. My blogger blog below currently receives over 200-300 natural hits a day and yes I can prove it haha. Hope this helps if you need help staying in the game let me know. PM me

    That doesn't sound right. I have several article directories and they all have duplicate content. I submit sitemaps to Google Webmasters daily and Google indexes all of the duplicate articles every day like a good little doggy...even the turds.

    I know this because I track the exact numbers via Google Webmasters.

    Keep in mind that article directories are no longer the effective marketing tools that they once were and and therefore really no longer any good as Adsense sites.

    Sure they can make a little change with Adsense, but the whole reason you are running an article directory is to host other webmasters backlinks. Its really a service and you monetize it by pasting ads in and on your landing pages, such as the "Article Successfully Posted" page or something similar.

    As with all websites, one of the best ways to draw traffic to it is by offering a service and an article directory is simply a link garage that attracts webmasters, niche marketers and "SEO Gurus".

      That's maybe what makes my site not accepted by google. When I login to my webmaster tool and looking in my site the /sitemap.xml it shows error.
      Do I need a sitemap button in my site? If yes how do I make it?

    Hi,

    I think the article directory "let's publish an article that has been published 1,000 times already" business model is just about dead. Google Panda was ferocious...I agree with one of the previous posts. Unique content and then back link to that uniqueness...
