Using PLR for micro niche sites

Just had 5 micro niche sites made and they came with 2 500 word articles. I'd like to get each site up to 10 articles pretty quickly. Anyway, I started writing my own and it does take a long time to do this. I was wondering if I could purchase a plr pkg, edit some of it and make it my own to quicken this process. Do you all do that? Will google see it as unique? Just curious what the rest of you do, besides outsourcing.
Thanks,
Deb

Yes, that is a legitimate way of building up more articles on your site.

I've actually seen sites ranking at No. 1 with PLR content. Just don't use the articles as they are. You can combine 2-3 articles into 1 and add some content of your own.

Rule number one of using PLR
*ALWAYS* edit it. Edit the heck out of it!
Take it not as a finished product but a framework of information for your own writing.

It's quite legitimate to use PLR this way, and it is, in my opinion, the only way I feel I can use PLR.

PLR articles are a good way to start with your content. But since they're PLR chances are they are already over the net you you'll have a hard time ranking your website with these kinds of content. One way would be to base new articles from the PLRs. Make them as unique as you can. If you can have it checked by copyscape and the result shows no duplicate then you go ahead and post them.

Thanks everyone. I'll prolly write some of my own (as I've already started) then use the PLR and edit it alot.

Do what you like, but we would never use straight PLR on our sites.

I wouldn't even mash several articles together with a few edits...I would have a full re-write done of the content. Same point, but completely different wording to get there.

If it's just you, you can re-write really quickly/easily...much easier than coming up with the article from scratch, usually.

Rewriting the PLR is highly recommended. This not only allows you to edit for grammar and spelling, but also create content that is completely unique to your site.

PLR is a tool that is misunderstood. It has both a bad rap and a good rap, like most things. You need to take PLR for what it is worth. They are a great tool to get the ball rolling, but use your own voice. Make the articles your own. If you use them in the right way, they can be a good thing. If you need PLR, I write custom ones too - LimitedPLRProducts.com.
