[HELP!] Experienced Flippa Sellers...

I sold a site two days ago (my first!) on Flippa and the guy has yet to pay or communicate with me via the post-sale discussion section and I've sent him two messages and one email now. I've checked his profile and it looks like he's been online the last two days so I'm kind of thinking something is up.

I guess my question is did someone bid on my site with no intention on ever paying? I'm not responsible for the success fee if they don't pay right?

Thanks for your help!

ALWAYS APPROVE BIDS! ALWAYS! And always use escrow.

It is my understanding that yes you are responsible for the fee but check with flippa's help desk on that one.

give it a couple of days and if the buyer is still a no show leave him/her negative feedback

Hmm... Well I did approve the bid when the person made it and they do have good feedback and good trust which just has me confused. I wouldn't be so concerned if their profile didn't show activity the last two days. I'm not sure how Escrow would even help in this situation as they don't appear like they want the site... Again confused, but thank you for your response.

If they don't pay within 72 hours, you can go to your auction page and there will be an option there to dispute the sale. You can then send a message to customer service at Flippa letting them know the buyer didn't pay, and they will let you re-list your auction for free (and usually ban or at least suspend the buyer).

That is good to know. Thank you for your help. As an update the person who purchased finally contacted me about 15 minutes ago, so all should be well--but I was definitely concerned for a bit.

@BloggingPro - thrilled to see that the buyer came through for you. They usually do.

Outside of that, Piper Anderson is spot on in that you can dispute the sale and relist your website (and naturally not have to pay the success fee on the aborted sale). This thankfully does not happen too often on Flippa ...
