Wordpress Contest/Giveaway Plugin or Form:

I'm looking for a form or plugin for Wordpress (or script) that will allow me to run a Viral Contest or Giveaway. I'm not interested in the "Contest Burner" pay to use program, but something very similar. I just can't afford to pay $147 for such a simple function.

Basically we've all seen them before - to enter you sign up for the newsletter, provide x many email address referrals of friends who might be interested and/or sharing your link on Facebook or other social media sites of your choosing. There would ideally be a way to track and automate this process.

Does anyone know of such a plugin or script? If not, can anybody tell me how to go about designing one?

    I'm really hoping that such a thing exists, I don't think I have the programming know how to make it happen.

      Don't you see any contradiction in the bolded parts above?

      If it was that simple... everybody would have coded it.

      Furthermore: a Giveaway and a Viral Contest are not the same: they would require a different script.

      I am not a coder but I hate when people lacking the specific knowledge qualify a job as "simple" or "easy"...

    Well, I am a coder in a sense. I studied it years ago and therefore know what's involved. If it would take someone less than 3 hours to code it it's not with $147 in my books. All you need is a simple form... the easy part. I already have a PHP form created. I just need the scripting behind the form to automate adding email addresses to Aweber and track the links. The tricky part is the tracking of FB shares. Twitter shares are easy to track.

    Contest would be a bit more tricky as you'd want a point system of sorts and track referrals per candidate, social media shares per candidate etc. Excel with some VB could probably do that. The problem is I learned programming about 15 years ago... times have changed and I've had other things to keep up with.
