Hi, first post sorry if it is in the wrong forum

I have a blog that is getting three thousand unique hits a day. I have ClickBank affiliate ads on the blog but in the last week I have only gotten 2 sales.
Is this normal hit/sale ratio? I seem to have a lot of hops, around 60 a day.

Anything else I can be doing to improve the sales?

Absolutely. You need to presell and/or build a list. 2% CTR is not bad but could be a lot better. Also, adsense might be worth a go... all the very best, Allen

      Where did you get 2%? 2 sells / (3000/day x 7 days) is like 0.01%.

You say that you've gotten 2 sells out of 60 visitors who viewed the actual squeeze page which is a pretty good conversion rate.

I think the problem lies with your site then. For one, your site is about games but then you're trying to sell things that's totally unrelated. Traffic is almost worthless if it's non-targeted traffic. If you have a gaming site try selling some games or controllers. The number one rule is to sell products that your visitors are looking for.

I mean if you visited a site looking for information on making money online, are you really going to pay attention to the ad on the side featuring a Trek mountain bike?

I think this is low performance according to hit. Tell people what you want them to do (fill in the form), and then tell them the benefits of doing so (you'll get a quote which could save you money). Marketing doesn't stop just because someone has come to your site: You must keep communicating with them. You must monitor and improve this performance by analyzing your Conversion Funnel. This is how you get more business without increasing your marketing spend.

Start building a list with a link to your squeeze page. You can then build a relationship with them by giving them great info along with promoting products that can actually help them.

Don't send them crappy product promos! Just ones that offer value.

Thanks for the tips! However, I am completely new and you are using a lot of terms I am not familiar with. What is a list and squeeze page? Is there a glossary somewhere cause you are speaking a different language to me.

What should my income goal with 3k hits be? Like at what point do I know the site is working instead of fluke sales?

I agree with building a list.. throw some special or ebook to get sign up and start sending out your product.

You've got irrelevant ads on a gaming site? That could be a turn off and a bit to transparent.

instead of linking to your optin-page you could place a little optin form on every side, might pretty sure increase your optins

Your CTR is very low, your Hop/sale is ok.

Your ads are not targeted to your audience.

Try moving the leveling guide ad to the top of the page permanently. (I'm assuming this the ad that received the sales?)
