Turnkey sites can be of value but having a website is only the first step, if you don't know how to market that site and produce targeted traffic it's not going to bring you much income.

Building a site is so easy now a days, get your hands dirty and build a couple for yourself, only then you know what it takes and time required to have a site up and going. With this knowledge in hand, you will be able to gauge the value of future website purchases. Likewise for traffic generation and SEO.

Websites don't make money. Website owners make money, through their websites, with their marketing skills.

Learning marketing skills is far more important than buying a ready-made website (you can easily do that whenever you like for about $20).

Suzanne (among others here) sells beautiful turnkey Wordpress niche blogs for ridiculously low prices (she claims that it's worth her while selling them at those prices, for some market-derived reason I can never really understand) ... but I think she'd be the first to agree that although they come "on-page-SEO'd", they don't make money entirely on their own: you also have to know how to get targeted traffic to them. Then they will.

I've bought and sold many turnkey websites and as already mentioned it isn't really about the site but more about getting people to it and making money with it after you take ownership.

However not all turnkey sites are equal, you can get some stunning sites out there for not much money, fully monetized and all in the best places for clicks and sales. But you can also get some real eyesores for the same amount of money that haven't even heard of SEO of placement.. so look at a few before diving in.

You can also get sites that come with their own products such as ebooks or videos with resale rights so you can make money on those as well...

For not a lot more you may even be able to get something that is already earning a bit of money and build on it, which is ultimately the reason you are getting the turnkey site in the first place.

Take a look around Flippa and you will be surprised what you can get for very little money, usually with hosting thrown in too, heck, you might even see one of mine

    Hey,

You have to research the market you're going to get into.

    Things to consider are...

    • What are the keywords? Are people searching for info on the website?
    • How much competition is there?
    • What products exist that are similar?
    • How am I going to send traffic to my site?
    • How long will it take to learn what I need to know to drive traffic to my site?
    • What do I need to say or do to convert traffic into dollars?
    • How can I turn that traffic into dollars next week too?
    • What are the conditions when I have to call it quits, or do I keep throwing good money and time into a site that's not performing?

  • I think a lot of people get the impression that 'turnkey' means all I have to do is pay for the site, sit back and the money will keep rolling in all by itself, but that's not the case. Assuming it's already a proven money-maker, that just means, for you, that it has a good earning potential for the future. You still have to put in the actual work to keep it going, though.

If budget allows purchase sites that are already making money...all you have to do is to drive more traffic to the site so that it can make more money

    1. Find a hosting company that provides wordpress and buy hosting from them, register a domain name. Go in your hosting control panel, install wordpress, your website is ready. Only expenditure, Domain name registration and hosting charges.

    2. Buy a website and expenditure is Domain name registration, hosting charges and website cost.

First method will save you money and provide you with the required technical knowledge of building a website without learning coding, designing etc...

later on you can make your wordpress website beautiful by installing a beautiful theme if you want to. Important thing is you should learn to do all this and not ask someone else to sell you all this. If you want to make money then you will have to make a career here and that requires knowledge.

You can promote your wordpress site like you would any other website. Learn how to do this by participating and discussing in this forum.

You can even get the hosting for free with reduced functionality. The fact is technology has provided you everything easily and quickly, it's upto you how you use it. To start, learn about what you are doing and going to do by exploring the forums before spending any money and finding yourself nowhere.
