Fairly new here but have been lurking for a couple years. Since networking is a cool thing, I thought what a better thing than to find more southerners that are either into networking or want to create that connection. Let's meet up and talk.

I'm a Damn Yankee that has been living in the Foothills of North Carolina since 2000. *grins* Hubby is a native.

Wow, there are other North Carolinians in Western NC that is online?????
Gosh, all I find are those in eastern (Greensboro and east).

I would love to network online and offline with locals. I don't have a very driveable car - hence the "local" part.

I certainly didn't intend for it to be offensive. It just depends on what's on your mind when you use it. When I was young, that's what my grand dad called me when I made him angry. So I doubt that it could cause any harm to the family show.

Even though I've spent most of my life in Memphis, except for the 3 years I lived in Puerto Rico, I was born in Oxford, Ms. and could write a book on Southern lingo.

As a matter of fact, I purchased a book a few years ago called "Talkin' Southern". It contains some real jewels.

Southern Charm will win hehe - It's all about personality marketing at the end of the day -as Dan Kennedy says in Magnetic marketing - and others have oft repeated- so yes- a charming southern personality will be a nice memorable thing
