HTC Droid Thunderbolt. Internet Marketers' dream phone

Hi All,

I've had my HTC Thunderbolt for two or three weeks now and IT's IT. This thing is the only thing you need to take with you to do a little IM on the road.

It comes with MS Word. The Camera is very high quality. The features can be used to compile an eBook and you can go the online PDF conversion rout.

You can upload movies and mp3 files that you create with it.

I've never used Dragon but I can't imagine that it's any better than the Voice to Text this phone has. You can dictate entire articles in a few minutes, drop them in dropbox they magically appear on your PC for editing (If that's even needed.)

The FTP app is very fast and entire sites can be uploaded in seconds.

If needed you can even access your cPanel and work it just as if you were on your PC. I haven't done a WordPress install yet but I know I can.

I guess you can tell I like this thing.

There are several apps that run from for free to a dollar or more that will make IMing with this thing even better.

Anyone else have one and if so do you like it as much as I do?

I upgraded from my Droid Eris to the Thunderbolt. While the Eris is a slick piece of work the Thunderbolt is so much more.

I almost forgot it's a Hot Spot that runs 8 other devices. I run my home PC on it now and have cancelled my Internet Service. I'm not worried about going over the bandwidth (2 gigs for $20) because major uploads and downloads can be done via the set fee unlimited data plan.

George Wright, P.S. I make phone calls with it too

While I don't have the Thunderbolt in just a few short days my new HTC Inspire will be here and I am absolutely stoked.

I learned the other day that with your Android OS you can remote connect to your desktop! Holy ****! Mobile technology has passed me by and I'm about to play catch up...

I am not sure if it has HDMI. Phone salesman told me a few days ago that the only phone they have with hdmi is new Nokia N6. I don`t know if this is true..

I am using HTC desire HD and it`s really great. HTCs are great phones. Only batteries could be stronger in their phones

Yep, I wish I had one! I was going to go the 'droid route but bought a HTC HD7 (Windows 7) last Christmas. If I change my phone, next time it's definitely going to be a 'droid device.

I'm a tech-lover and I've been keeping an eye on the reviews for the Thunderbolt and the thing DOES have it all but the kitchen sink!

What's scary is that in probably just a few months, they will come out with say the "Thunderbolt 2" or whathaveyou and that will be IT then...

Ah, technology... It's kind of like IM in a sense... It just keeps you going from one thing to the next lol

      Hard to just "say."

Take a look at this video if you'd like a good comparison between the two:

I follow those guys and they know their stuff over at TechnoBuffalo. If you want an even more in-depth analysis, you can type "htc thunderbolt vs iPhone 4 phonedog" into the YouTube search bar.

      Hope that helps

      Darren,
From experience Iphone's without flash means that many cpanel can't be accessed and the same with many autoresponder, hosting and domain providers. So I guess it depends how much you want to do on a phone?

Yes the HTC droids are really great and in my opinion better than iphone 4 for more experienced users, because of more functions/open system. Also the HTC Phones don´t track where you go as much (at least i hope so).

I agree that the HTC Droids are some of the most amazing phones on the market and this can be seen across carriers as well. Whether it be the HTC Evo 4G, HTC G2, HTC MyTouch 4G, or the newly released HTC Thunderbolt all phones seem to run at blazing (4G, HSPA+, or 4G LTE) speeds. I'm a bit phone crazed so I've tried ALL of them.

Due to the fact that Android is an open source that countless developers seem to constantly be working by the day if not the hour, things can only get better in my opinion.

P.S. The HTC Evo 4G does have HDMI Support. It's successor (or should I say successor+1 due to the release of HTC Evo Shift) the HTC Evo 3D should be something to see as well when it's released later this year.
