You always come across those bogus blog comments that make little sense in relation to your posts, but sometimes you get those really obscure ones that make you stop and think.. what the? :confused:



^ Firstly, he can't spell. :p

But the thing that got me was he is trying to create a backlink to.... www.bing.com with "Michael" as his anchor text.

Is he trying to rank his name in Bing?

Even if he is, it obviously won't work.

Any suggestions to what this dude is up to?? :confused:

    He is trying to do a switch out. It is the latest spam craze. They leave obvious non promotional link that they will try to change later. Hey we all mispell. (laugh) but the sad part I think is that comments have become less of a discussion and more about backlinking. I guess thats why I am OK with not having a lot of comments.

    I manually approve comments to and have had quite a number of attempts at backlinks this week, and their comment usually is totally irrelevant to the blog post.
