How do I ban specific comments on Wordpress?

Hello!

Everyday (many times a day) I need to remove comments from a particular site which is sending me "undesirable" comments. How do I ban this site from commenting once and for all? Is it possible to do this in Wordpress.

    If it is "sent" by a website - I guess those are not comments but trackbacks (TB).
    TB is the preferred spam method of many idiots.

    Settings > Discussion: see the Comment Blacklist field.
    Add any URL, IP that is sending garbage. Will go directly to spam.

      In order to disable all trackbacks in WordPress, go to your Admin panel> Settings> Discussion tab. Uncheck "Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)"

      Follow Istvan's advice above if you only wish to ban particular url's.

          But if you show them where to look, then they will also learn about all the other nice options in there, as well. Heck, they might even be motivated to look around learn about all the other options in the settings, too.

          Also, if a new user were to try to find the answer in a search engine, I really doubt s/he would know to type in, "How do I stop pingbacks and trackbacks in Wordpress from specific url's?"

          You can also do the same thing within the MySQL database by modifying 2 lines of code, but sometimes you have to lead new people in the simplest direction so they don't get 'over-stimulated'.

          If it wasn't for other people on this forum answering my questions for me, I wouldn't be where I am now.

          And BTW, I would be willing to bet the OP did learn how to do it now. In fact, I bet s/he already did it and now has a glowing sense of satisfaction that will lead them into even more advanced things.

            Thank you very much for your valuable contribution. You are not "spoon feeding me" but "guiding me". As a newbie in Internet Marketing one of my major problem is that I "waste valuable time" on technical issues. I rather spend time generating traffic than wasting time on technicalities.

              I used to have a lot of problems with spammy comments, but not as much as it used to be, I use si captcha, which is not a bad alternative, on some particularly troublesome multiple offenders, with topics like
              "you have a great blog man I am definitly going to be proceeding to bookmark it"
              (yes it has spelling errors,)

              I went in and edited it and changed the URL to a different site, just to play around with it one day, and the spammer actually posted again complaining about my editing his spammy comments, it was humorous.

              But he stopped commenting..

              You completely missed my point, and it wasn't necessarily directed at you either.

              If you don't want to spend the time figuring things out for yourself then I doubt you would have the skill set to generate traffic in any significant volume either.

          Some of us have figured out that when you only have to do something on rare occasions in a frequently-updated software package, going and figuring it out on your own is a waste of time. By the time you need to know it again, it will have changed.

    Bradley don't be a drama queen. I did answer his question, albeit in a less detailed way. If your blog is getting hit hard with trackback spam, disable trackbacks, its as easy as that.
