  Yes staying focussed is very hard but once you master it you will succeed.
  Try writing your goals down and sticking them to the wall where you see them when you wake up. This will encourage you to strive towards them and keep you focussed.

Nikki -

I agree completely. I have focused on blogs to drive traffic with what I believe to be quality content. I am working with the Yaro Starak Blog Mastermind and have implemented a lot of his recommendations.

I also set myself up with Chris Farrell to learn how to do the basics - eventually I will be able to outsource and just instruct my VAs on what needs to be done. But I believe you can't tell until you can "do yourself" at least understand the basics.

I have a basic schedule of three + hours a night at least five and six times a week if I can force it into the schedule.

I am always interested in feedback. I just wrote a three part article on what I believe is an emerging market. If you have time go on over to my site an take read it over. If you have some comments I would be happy to hear them. Just click here to go directly to the article series.

Excellent advice from everyone, to say the least. The one additional thing that I would add is to spend some portion of your time building systems that VAs can run so that you can scale your biz.

If you can figure out how to make one site earn a few hundred a month, the only thing between you and financial freedom is building more sites (rinse and repeat) and the way to do that is to outsource every little thing. The way to make that possible is to have documented systems and processes.

Yes, this stuff takes time to build, however, if you are so busy chopping down trees, you might be forgetting to sharpen you axe!

Great Points. I think point 1 & 2 are the ones that sticks out for me.

Yes agree with this. You won´t stick with it if you are doing something you hate. For example I HATE to write articles. I have made my business around social media traffic, and building websites which I love.

All the other strategies aren't going to create the regular consistent BIG incomes that you can get if you capture as many of your sites visitors so you can market to them at another time

That is right...just make sure your getting people from highly targeted places and traffic sources. Then you will see just how much more money you can make.

I think that the very first thing new marketer should do is to think of the overall goal - how much money do you want to make what kind of business do you want to be in. Then break this grand plan into smaller chunks where each step is based on clear and measurable goal that contributes to the overall purpose. And most importantly, nothing happens no matter how good plans and systems you have at your disposal unless you take action.

Its great if you are a war room member as you can get access there to lots of free WSO´s that people have listed there. Its great to have a strategy and lots of WSO´s put together a nice easy to follow plan. They can be very helpful.

I understand if you are low on funds there are free places to educate yourself. The 30 day challenge for example is an excellent resource for newbies to learn the entire process of IM inside and out. This is a number 1 recommendation if you don´t have any start up funds and have no idea about IM atall.

Not sure how to wrap this into a pretty little line item but developing a real sales funnel is critical. I think the biggest thing that a lot of newbies lack is the planning to create a sales funnel from the beginning. Sure in the beginning a lot of items in the funnel will not be your own - that's okay - but you have to have a *system* that yields more than a single one-time sale.

When you find someone that wants to buy from you, you have to offer them multiple opportunities to buy at multiple price points. It's the difference between making $20 off of a visitor and making $500 off the same loyal "customer".
