New Amazon Affiliate Question

I'm registering to become an Amazon affiliate without a website of my own and it's asking me some pretty tough questions on the registration page.

My first question is this: if I don't have a website and plan to use Squidoo lenses to promote products, what do I put for my website name/url/purpose etc etc? Has anyone else had problems becoming an Amazon affiliate without a specific website attached to you?

I don't want to fill this out wrong and and have them ban me for life or something.

    Before you apply, go setup a blogger blog on any topic that lends itself well to Amazon products (video games, home improvement, cars, etc.) and on your blog, post 2-3 short posts on your topic (you can even use PLR). After you do that, use your blogger blog's URL when applying to Amazon and once you approved, you can use your new amazon affiliate id wherever you want!

      If you have a Hubpages account they will walk you through the process. You set up your hub to earn money by clicking on a tab and a window pops up for you to register with Amazon. I would go that route first and then go over to Squidoo and replicate it with Squidoos information. It's the easiest way I know of.

      Another quick question.. I applied and it let me in and everything and i set up direct deposit, but the confirmation email said they would send another email when i've been approved.

      how long does this usually take? Also, can I start promoting products right now and still get credit for it? It seems to be letting me make links and stuff.
