Some help for the Newbie?

I have tried many products from clickbank and of course non of them worked. It has been about a month since I started my blog with automated content generating plug in. I have about 500+ unique visitor from first month but haven't made any profit from it.

Why?

I don't know how to simply generate traffic. All these backlinking and other internet marketing words. (I wish there were like dictionary for it)

I don't even know how to put monetize. I did what I could from products I bought from Clickbank. I don't even have Adsense account and I don't know why they would not approve it.

So.. here is my website Internet Marketing Tips, Strategies, and Product Reviews and I need some help from experienced people what I need to do. I have stopped using all the auto generating products.

Thanks.
#newbie

Well, first of all, pick a niche other than IM. You'll never be successful in that niche considering you (in your own words) don't know anything about it How about picking something you ARE familiar with instead? Or at least something you can easily learn and make something useful for.

I know I have failed with the niche. I have two other sub domains with photo and kpop. I guess I should pick a niche that I am familiar with instead of top niche words since I am newbie

I agree with the other comments, do not cut your teeth in the Internet marketing niche. Pick a niche that you are interested in and then build your site, promote it and hopefully make money from it. Write down every thing that you do in order to promote your site and learn from what you do. Once you have done this successfully you will know enough to offer Internet marketing advice.

      Regards

I am thinking about removing all the contents since the domain name doesn't relate to IM anyways. Thanks for helping me make up my mind haha.

You're wise to start over with this, as the site you have is not going to accomplish what you want, imo. I'd suggest picking a niche you have some interest in, verifying it can be monetized, and then start over. Frankly there's many ways to turn a site into cash, but Adsense, Amazon and affiliate marketing in general are the most popular. You may want to try selling physical products as Amazon offers, since your early experience with Clickbank wasn't good.

    Kwonyoo,

Make a list of topics that you find personally interesting. You don't have to be passionate about them, but I think something that will keep your interest for a while is mandatory when you are starting out (and funds to invest in your business are limited). Once you have an ongoing, profitable business, hire a team that can focus on niches that you have no interest in, but can be expanded and profitable.

Do some research and see if there are people spending money there.

When you are researching, make sure that you get a YES for each of these questions.

To paraphrase Eben Pagan's Niche Criteria:
    * are the people in the niche experiencing PAIN + URGENCY or IRRATIONAL PASSION? Think of golfers as having an irrational passion where they will go golfing in a thunderstorm and spend $1000s on clubs that might add a few extra yards. PAIN + URGENCY could be a woman wanting to lose 20 lbs to fit into her wedding dress in the next 6 weeks.
    * are they actually LOOKING for a solution?
    * do they have few or no perceived options? In other words, do they feel like there back is against the wall and they have to take action fast to get the problem solved?

Go out and listen to those markets and see what they are always talking about. What their #1 fears and problems are. Then go answer them with your solution.

That is the short answer. Hope it helps.

No kidding on Clickbank I have promoted about 50 and still $0 profit. It was weird at first and was thinking if I was doing wrong. Well anyways Adsense is hard to get approved by and they take forever to review.

Thanks for the advise but I might have to study bit more to hire a team. I am just a newbie like a baby who does not know what is going on with it.

As others have mentioned, if you are new to IM, you shouldn't be focusing on the IM niche. This is too competitive for newbies, and you really can't fake it if you don't know what your are doing.

500+ visitors a month isn't much for most niches. If you were promoting a Clickbank product, you would be lucky to get more than a few sales of the Clickbank product. 500 visitors a month to your site might not get you any sales. If you were approved for Adsense, you would make a little revenue from Adsense on a site with 500 visitors a month.

As a word of encouragement, you are doing something right if you already have a site with 500 unique visitors a month for a new site. You know how to generate traffic. Take your skills into another niche that you are passionate about, and replicate the same strategies you used on your IM site for your new site.

Hold onto your IM site until you know more about IM, and come back to it when you have more experience under your belt.

It feels to me like you are jumping ahead of yourself. Make sure you can setup and keep a blog going on your own first, without all those auto tools. Remember, nothing beats a hand written article when it comes to converting the sale.

What all those auto generated articles do is get people to your site. Once they get there, there should be more good human created content.

Do everything by hand first and master the conversion process. Only after you've mastered this, will you know where and how to automate things.

    1 set up auto responder
2 find a niche area that you are interested in that also will make you money
    3 create a list
    4 market to this list

1 create a blog around the niche area
2 make sure all your SEO, SEM stuff is done
3 make sure you have your affiliate products or your own product on there to sell
4 repeat the cycle until you've got this stuff down - only then, would I scale up and automate things more

    Hi Kwonyoo,

Yours is a problem faced by all new marketers. Many people sell products that make newbies believe all you need to do is a click a button and you'll be rich. Sadly, it doesn't work that way.

My advice to you is to really find a niche that has commercial potential with around 5000-10000 local exact searches per month. Next, make sure there are no competitors with more than 5,000 backlinks to their page. Then figure out how to get content (articles, videos, audio, images) that will attract buyer traffic and publish that content (it must be original!!) on a weekly (or faster) basis, while simultaneously following a link building strategy.

Yes, I realize that there are a TON of details to getting this all done. I blog about how I do it and my blog is free. You can get to it via my sig file.

Hope this helps you a little bit.

In order to share knowledge, you must be knowledgeable of the topic yourself.

You can also give a product away. Develop a free report and give it away for
their email address. A report won't take you long at all and you can easily get
    a few opt ins

I'm also a noob and I've made the same mistake as you before. You jumped into something without knowing anything about it. Don't waste your money right now. Read up and if you can, hire somebody to mentor you or try to find somebody on the WF that can do it for free.

This is what I'm noticing from your site, it lacks any SEO. Find a keyword, put the keyword it your title, try to rank for it. You aren't ranked on google right now, that's the best traffic source you can have. In the meantime while you read up on that, write some articles, make a few youtube videos and that should get some traffic to your page.

(WARNING: Please note that in the post above I said "a few" in I.M. a few translates to a significant amount) It's worth it man
