[SOLVED] Fiverr Promotion, HELP. Desperate

Ok, here is the skinny. Ive been out of work for a while, focusing on some on the online projects that I have. My Girlfriend has been working to pay the bills. I just agreed to start working where she works.

She doesn't get paid again until next Wednesday, not May 4th but May 11th.

Now we are flat broke, and only have enough gas to make it one more day of going to work, dropping kids off at school, picking kids up from school, and coming home. Basically we are screwed!

So I posted my first Gig on fiverr, offering $5 PHP script installations. Hoping to get a few orders from that, to keep our car running until payday.

I have never used fiverr before, and was wondering if anyone can suggest any methods of promotion, to maximize the chances of obtaining my very small goal of $20 - $30 dollars?

Don't use Fiverr if you need cash now! They will hold your funds for 14 days. Go onto the Members Wanted section of this forum or hit up Craigslist in the gigs section for money like yesterday Good luck, hope it all works out for you.

      x eleventy billion.

I know the OP has already worked out his situation but I keep seeing Fiverr mentioned as a place for quick cash and it is not that IMO. I swore I'd been waiting more than 14 days for some gigs--and that's because I had. Fiverr starts their countdown not after delivery, but after the buyer marks the transaction complete, it seems.

It's a good place to get things going, and I think I like using it for quick tests, but quick CASH it is not.

Alright, you need emergency money...so do emergency type things...I know nothing online that can put cash in your pocket in say 2 days, maybe a week or, but not as fast as you need it. So, here is what you do, get a squeegee, a plastic bucket, and mix up some ammonia and water. Put on good shoes and start walking.

Go to every business and even small single story house that is within a reasonable distance of you. Offer to clean their windows. Quote a dirt cheap price...tell them you'll do one window free, and if its satisfactory, you'll do the rest for pay. Accept Cash only.

You could have $50 -$100 in the next 8 hours. If you could clean windows online, I'd tell you to do that, but you can't :-) GOOD LUCK!
