Value of own blog V posting on Facebook page?
My site is new and I am now looking at how to expand conversation about my site. I write articles for it using very original analysis, but these take time and so content does't change daily.
So the way I see it, so that I can spend more time on the actual business, is to either have a blog that I write for daily and is perhaps written from my dogs perspective with my training concepts thrown in OR starting up a facebook page and having people comment on the wall, then maybe wanting to jump to my site,
Now I understand that either way I go, I will need to moderate comments, the way I see it is that having my own blog gives me some control, but may require more off page optimization to the main blog page and I am not sure how easy it will be to stop spammers on the page (assuming that I allow comments). If I go the facebook path then even if it becomes a roaring success, it does not necessarily mean any more visitors to my site? Does it?
I get that some people will say to do both, but as I am a local dog walking business, solo managed, I want to be smart about how I use my time, and generate local callers.
just a dog guy.
