Email Marketing - Need some tips, please!

Hello there fellow warriors!, my name is Jakob. I've had a big interest for IM for about 3 years now, and i know quite a bit about various IM methods. But i am not really making any money right now, and havent done in quite a while but i want to try making som money of a opt-in page. Basicly what i got right now, is a opt-in page template i have designed in photoshop, and made ready for the web in dreamweaver. I Also got an autoresponder, and a email submit form on the page. But my problem is that i do not have a clue about what niche i should be going into? im thinking about pre-popping cpa offers from my email submit form, in exchange for some kind of a free gift, or should i just get som subscribers and blast them with cpa, and clickbank products?
but again, i do not know what niche i should be going into, or how i should start?. And is there even any money in what im trying to do here?

I would appriciate if someone could help me out

      What im trying to accomplish with the page is, Building a niche targeted list - A niche that has got affiliate products, cpa offers i can send out to my subscribers

    Jaxi, Do you have any ideas of what you want to promote? I would look at some of the evergreen niches like dating, dog training, make money online and try to find a micro niche within that has keywords that convert well. CPA offers can be good although not all of them let you do email marketing.

      yeah, my big interest is IM i've spend the last 3 years reading guides, testing diffrent kinds of IM, designing web pages. But i heard that the IM niche is just way to overused?

        yes but that is what they say about weightloss and the relationship ship niche.

        To competitive...blah blah. That is because its damn profitable and there are desperate people in that niche wanting and craving for info.

        That is why I am in this niche.

          Ok, sounds good, i was also considering the weightloss niche. But heard that was waaaay to overused too :S

      I Do know how to do keyword research, and find keywords with good exposure, and less competetion. i've also done diffrent kinds of SEO, like backlinking with scrapebox. I just dont know what niche is good for email marketing.

    There are plenty "hot niches" I would recommend that you enter one that you are somewhat interested in. Just a word of advice, a small paid email list (people who have bought your product) is better than a large free list (people who have opted-in to get your free product).

    A fast way to get you started is to go about your own interests. What are your points of interest, see if there is a niche out there and work around it. You will have more knowledge and it is fun to work everything thing out while you working with something that is interesting to you.

    I dont got any product to sell. Would it work, selling a product i've got resale rights for? or could i simply just sell an affiliate product? but why should people opt-in to my list, if they have to buy it anyways? and dont wanna opt-in if they do not get some kind of bonus? wouldent it be better, to just offer something for free, if they opt-in? or maybe provide som kind of bonus, on top of the affiliate product if they opt-in first?
