HELP! Clickbank question...

I have not been focusing on selling Clickbank for several years now, but I started a ppc campaign recently, and in my stats I see that I have had 1 "Order Form Submit Count". Isn't that the same as a sale?

Reason I ask is that it does NOT show up as a sale.

(I am aware of the problem CB has had the last few days, with "Client Analytics Data Delayed, so it might have to do with that, but I would like to know if "Order Form Submit Count" is equivalent to a sale in normal circumstances, without the current CB delay problems.)

Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

    I understand your confusion although it is not the same.

    The "Order form impression" is how many people have seen the order form so even if they don't enter anything it still counts as an impression.

    The "Order form submit" DOES mean they have clicked the submit button but there card might not have gone through, they might have entered details incorrectly.

    Also they STILL have an opportunity to click back after submitting the form so this happens a lot.

    Hope this helps?

    Chris

    It is only in theory, but not in reality.

    In reality it's equivalent to perhaps about a 70%/75% chance (overall) of a sale. The things that can make the difference include:-

    (i) The fact that the customer can still change their mind and back out rather than confirming their order;

    (ii) The fact that they can turn out to be someone "banned" by Clickbank (e.g. for frequent refunds) in which case the order won't be processed;

    (iii) The fact that their credit-card can be declined by its issuer, or invalid for some other reason;

    (iv) The fact that Clickbank may be unable to process the order through mechancial/software failure "at their end";

    (v) Difficulties like the ones they've clearly been having over the last week or so (and had to a much greater extent in January of this year).

    Hi Bless,

    I agree with others... "Order Form Submit Count" is NOT the same thing as a sale on CB. However, I must also say that I have noticed that I get way more of these without a resulting sale every time there is a significant time period showing a "Client Analytics Data Delayed." I am really beginning to believe that legitimate sales are lost during these periods, although I don't have any absolute proof of this of course.

      This is why it's essential to build a list first, then send them to your CB affiliate link. Keep hitting up your subscribers with sales promos until they either buy or die.
