Quick & easy way to increase conversions

On my main site NeverColdCall.com and my AdWords site as well, I added the small Google Friend Connect "sign in" widget below the menu bar. (After registering both sites with Friend Connect, of course.)

This has resulted in an instant increase in conversions!!

I think the psychology of seeing a "sign in" and knowing you're not a member creates that human nature drive to want something you don't have. In this case, it took about 30 seconds to set up by grabbing the code from the Google Friend Connect site and pasting it into my pages. I saw an immediate increase in sales, and this is in the weeks before Christmas when my traffic is down.

Try it, it works!

As an added bonus, people are signing up and once I have a large number of members, I'll add the "members" widget to each site's home page to add social proof.

Great idea FrankRumbauskas, however this wouldn`t work for a landing page. I`m using the share this button across my landings and blogs I think Google Friend Connect is more for blogs with a large number of returning visitors, am I correct ?

I use it on my landing page, and on my "thank you" page I have a "join our community" widget. You can see the landing page at www.nevercoldcall.com and the widget is just below the menu bar.

Once I have enough members I'll change the landing page widget to display the # of members for more social proof.
