What is your CTR on Amazon product review pages?

Mine is hovering at 25%-35% . Isn't this a bit too low?

Here's an example of my product review page

Suggestions on how to improve my CTR will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Your reviews are not exactly eyecatching. List all the product features as bullet-points, bold important words, use sub-headings and have a couple of 'can't be missed' calls to action for each product.

Important thing is: are you getting sales so far?

I'm surprising you're getting 25%+ CTR on that page to be honest As AnniePot said, try to make it a bit more eye-catching. I would also use a bigger font to make it easier to read.

Also, I'm sorry but the content/review just doesn't read very well... Have you written it yourself or is it outsourced? I couldn't even get past the first paragraph as the wording was very awkward and it didn't make me interested in reading further.

As far as CTR goes as a metric. I've got low CTR on some pages, high on others, but the real metric to look at is how much you're making per visitor. It doesn't matter if every single one clicks through if nobody buys. Although, with Amazon, it's hard to NOT get any sales if you just push enough traffic

First off, a 25-35% click-through rate is pretty good.

If you want to increase it, I would add an Amazon widget to the page and break the text up. Nobody likes to read big blocks of text like that. If you can infuse some personality and humor into your reviews, it would make them a lot more readable and get you more click-throughs.

CTR is *meaningless* unless they end up making sales - you could have a 100% CTR with 0 sales, that is easily beaten by a 1% CTR.

This is the same as the old CTR on EZA debate - what does it matter how many people click on a link if nothing happens as a result?

Its already been said above, but the "review" is - well.... awful (to my eyes). Its written far to spammy in a way thats probably made for SE traffic rather than people actually searching for the product. How many times do you need to mention the specific product name? (far too many). Are you sure the "clicks" are actual visitors and not bots? Also, whatever happened to spelling and grammar checking?

I dont mean that in a hurtful way, but to be blunt, dont try to improve your CTR; change your review style to _sell_ the product, in a way that reads well and even if your CTR drops, I'll still reckon you will make more sales.

  • Ok so my review was based off a real story of mine, and I've yet to finish or publish it, but here's how I make my reviews:

Ok, so my friend contacts me because he knows I run this review site, and he says: "Dude, you've got to make a review of the Cyborg RAT 7, it literally IS a shape-shifting CYBORG". I got to admit, that last part of his comment really caught my attention. A Gaming Mouse that shape-shifts in order to suit your gaming grip... interesting.

Alright so lets show you a picture first:

Looks kinda cyborg-ish right? I thought the same when I saw it. This only perked my interest and excitement to go ahead and review the product. I think the mouse is so intriguing I'm going to have to go ahead and add a video for this one, and if I can't do so at the moment, I'll add someone else's.

Lets get on with the review...

    Shaped like the bat-mobile!!

I really do think it is - Check the comparison:

Now this isn't to say this is a bad thing, from what I've read, everyone is having success with finding their perfect grip or comfort with the Cyborg RAT 7 's ability to move its various components around. So although the mouse looks like a mechanical monstrosity - It's actually quite comfortable and nimble (meaning agile, precise and quick), and highly customizable!

    Lets list some features:

    Adjustable width and length components
    5600 DPI
    Lightweight Aluminium Chassis
    Custom Weight System
    Precision Aim Mode
    5 Programmable Buttons
    4 Custom DPI Settings
    3 Cyborg Modes
Interchangeable Pinkie Grips and Palm Rests
    3 Pinkie Grips / 3 Palm Rests
One Pinkie Grip / One Palm Rest featuring the same soft-touch finish as found on the body of the Cyborg® R.A.T.
One Pinkie Grip / One Palm Rest with a rubber inlay for enhanced grip.
One Pinkie Grip that offers a ‘wing shaped’ design, allowing you to rest your pinkie finger during play for increased grip.
One Palm Rest that is 4mm thicker to increase the height of the R.A.T.
    Powerful Cyborg® ST Programming Software
I've got to admit, the features list is lot bigger than the usual features list I do for my mouse reviews. Looks like "Mad Catz" (the company behind the Cyborg RAT 7) have taken their damn sweet time to make sure they make the perfect mouse.

For those of you who are reading this but have absolutely no interest in buying a mouse for gaming - please, read on. Even if you aren't a gamer, its always nice to have a mouse you can be proud off, and something that's going to look cool when others see it on display when visiting. Well, there's that reason, and the fact that if you're a tech junkie you'll love to know what this baby is capable of anyway!

Right, carrying on with explaining the features :-

    Adjustable width and length components

All my other reviews have mainly been written reviews with the odd picture here and there. But I'm really gong to have to use picture to explain this one... that's ok, I love pictures anyway

Adjustable thumb rest (Width and Length) pictures:

As you can see, to the left side of the mouse is a half-pipe type rest where your thumb rests. On that rest is both the forward and backward internet browser buttons, and the red one which is something that "Mad Catz" have coined "Precision Aim Mode".

As labelled in the diagram, the rest can be adjusted in width to come out more (sort of a like a birds wing) to accommodate your thumb, whilst it can also be adjusted in length to have it on the lower or higher part of the mouse. The length feature was added so that people could make it easier to press the buttons located on the rest.

For example, if you have very long hands and the rest is too far back, meaning your thumb completely overlaps the buttons; you can then adjust the rest in length to move further up the mouse to meet with the palm of your thumb. Awesome right?

The diagram on the right are the screw-holes for moving the rest up and down, and tightening the width where you want it to be. The Cyborg RAT 7 comes with its own small screwdriver specifically made for the mouse.
As I've not finished it nor proof-read my content it may read awkward in some of the text. But generally I try to write 1-on-1 with the reader as if I was talking to a friend.

I don't skimp out on details, I talk about all the features.

    Your content makes no sense.

*EDIT* The above is only 1/5 of the review, and I tend to do big reviews.
