Default BluePrint to First Sale at Amazon

I don't know how many times it needs to be said, but all the information anyone needs to be successful online can be found here at the Warrior Forum.

It takes some effort and a little $$, but if you follow the information here you CAN make some money.

I made my first sale with Amazon yesterday - Yoo Hoo! - typically my income is generated through Clickbank, CJ, Adsense, & other affiliates, but I launched a new website with some targeted keywords basically promoting Amazon & Ebay and made my first sale in less than 30 days.

Here's what I did and it's nothing that hasn't been repeated:

1. Researched some keywords (topics) at Free Keyword Suggestion Tool From Wordtracker

Found enough keywords with little to moderate competition (30 so far).

2. Outsourced 15 articles to be written based on keywords I found (I chose to outsource to maximize my time - to save money you can write the articles yourself).

3. Registered a domain name & set-up hosting.

4. Installed Wordpress using Fantastico.

5. Uploaded a free wordpress theme WordPress › WordPress Themes

6. Summarized my 15 articles and started dripping post into my blog - (currently have 9 posts).

7. After putting the summarized article on my blog I posted the full article to EZA.

8. Went to Digg and have Dug 2 of my blog posts.

9. Created a hub at HubPages based on one of the articles I posted at EZA & on my blog (currently that hub has a score of 91).

With Hubpages I basically use the same article posted at EZA with little to no changes.

10. Monetized my blog with...

- Amazon Plugin WordPress › AmazonFeed WordPress Plugins

- A sprinkling of Adsense

- Added a couple other affiliates

Since I launched the site on 11/22/2008 I've had 322 visitors per Google Analytics.

For the month of December I'm averaging 14 visitors a day. Not alot, but it's a start...

And all of this has led to my first sale at Amazon.

2009 looks to be a good year!

Hope this helps those who are struggling & wondering if IM really works - the key is to take ACTION !

I'm not rolling in the big $$'s yet, but I'm following a formula that is producing results one step at a time.

Keep Pressing On,

Jeff

Is a summary a better option than a full post? I assume the summary links to EZA?

Thanks,
Dean

Hi Dean,

That's a good question...in a nutshell I'm trying to eliminate duplicate content and if my reader comes from EZA I don't necessarily want them to reread the whole article.

The summary on my blog usually links to an affiliate site related to the keywords or to another page on my blog.

I don't link back from my blog to EZA - I try to keep them at my site.

Jeff

This is true. Do you have the complete article on your site somewhere else? I know that duplicate content is not necessarily good, but wondered if having an article on EZA and your site is even too much?

So the summary will give them enough info to click through (affiliate site) then?

Yes that makes sense.

Hi,

Congratulations!

I have always said that there are simple to follow, repeatable ways of making money online. Somehow, many people want to look for 'new' ways of earning an income, preferrably ones that do not involve any work!

I should refer some of my readers to your post to show them that they do have to put the work in but that there are rewards at the end of it.

All the best,
Phil
