Testing the Water: Creating A Wordpress Blog WSO?

Hello

I just wanted to throw this out and see if anyone would be interested.

I am having a bit of a major credit crunch of mine own at the moment - I know...there's a lot of it going about and I really need to earn some money in the very short term.

I have got quite adept at setting up Wordpress blogs and wondered if anyone would be interested in this as a service. So they would need for example hosting and domain name and I would create the blog for them with a free theme and set them up with the key plugins etc.

I could create it with their niche in mind and it would really be for the fairly new person who wants to move on from Wordpress.com but hasn't got the time or inclination to create the first blog. I have a couple of examples of my own blogs which I think look fairly aesthetically pleasing

Does anyone think this would be in demand or would be something that you would be interested in and if so any ideas on pricing. Both as a standard service and as a WSO.

Hope this isn't asking for too much, but just want to see the viability of something before I launch wholesale into it?

Ive done this before, it worked pretty good, put a link in your sig for doing the service too. Put something about upgrading people to 2.7 in the threadline I would think that would help right now.

I do $34 for a site like this and $23 or so for the WSO maybe. Throw in a report on why you use the plugins you do and how they can use them to the best of their ability and you can easily do $27 to $30

The other critical questions are:

1. Are you going to host all the blogs?
2. Are you going to give ongoing support?

Both of these are can '0 worms questions you need to resolve.

We are doing the exact same thing with Joomla, and answering these two questions was not easy.
