I think I'm ready to get affiliates, what is currently the best way?

Hey all!

I've just finished and am ready to release a new product in a multi-million dollar affiliate market that is extremely profitable. My new product isn't a repeat of what is old and has already made boatloads of cash. My product is a fresh, new, video-based version of what has already proved to make tons of cash.

So my question is this: What is currently the best way to get affiliates on board to promote my product (see sig)? I'm really looking for people who have their own content sites, mailing lists, community sites, basically things that can put up my banners and/or write up review articles.

I've see the "Affiliate Program Database" link here on the WF, however, judging by the low views and lack of general participation, that doesn't seem to be a very good option.

Could you guys help out by putting the top few/5 areas you know to get affiliates to promote what should be a huge money maker?

Thanks in advance!

If it was me i would set up the whole paying process through clickbank then you have thousands of affiliates ready to promote your product.

Yes, Clickbank is definitely the way to go. Gaming affiliates are already used to going there to find products to promote anyway. Make sure you are paying them a generous percentage... 50% and up. Also, provide them with as many tools as possible to promote your product... banners, ppc text, email copy, etc.

    Hey guys,

I wasn't really asking for how to set up a payment processor, I already have clickbank integrated.

Instead, I'm asking more specifically on top ways to get affiliates.

I was thinking along the lines that maybe somebody here knew other Warriors who affiliated products, or if there was a list of affiliate contacts that I could contact, something other than the obvious email blast out to all potential affiliates.

There's 2 directions you could take: affiliates and JVs.

          For JVs:

          1) Obviously start with Clickbank. Find related products/markets and contact the product owners to either promote it or see if you can work out a deal to get them to mail for you.

          2) Search for solo ezine ad spots in your niche.

          3) look for ad swap possibilities.

          For affiliates:

Either (1) invest in software like AffiliateElite (I think that's what it's called), or (2) search for niche-related keywords like "wow guide" or something and find people running Adwords ads. These are most likely affiliates, and so you could approach them and ask them to promote yours instead or in addition.

...Or (3) find authority blogs in your niche and look for signs of IM-savviness (like opt in forms or affiliate links). Contact them to see if they'd promote for you.

...Or (4) search through the top niche-related forums for either people with Signature links to affiliate campaigns/blogs and contact them to promote.

...Or (5) in those same forums find the top posters or members in high esteem. Offer to pay them or work out a deal to have them link to your product in their signature for a week or a month. If it's outside the IM niche, you can get away with some dirt-cheap deals, and the rapport they have as a member will increase the click conversions from their posting.

Just ideas. It all requires a little work, but then again... You land a few of these and you could be looking at some serious promotion power, so the work is worth it.

Hit me up if you need any help or clarifications.

You can always post to the JV section if you want some real reliable affiliates. And with WF you might even end up with some super affs

    Agree....ClickBank.

...you might also try reaching out to a few online business JV's. You could have them bundle your free and successful affiliate program as a bonus. Just things to think about.

...you might also try promoting your product like "learn how you can get these videos for $15!" Then take them to a page where they can sign-up for the affiliate program.

I think the best way to promote your product will be going on youtube and making a couple info videos on it
then making a fan page and getting it out there
    there is always paid advertising

I think going with a personal site or some viral video way might work well.
Otherwise Clickbank will work best and be mostly automated, less work for you while at the same time bringing in even more affiliates then you can imagine.

    Good luck!

I think the best way would be to create a thread in the Warrior Forum about how to get affiliates, then talk up your program big time in your first paragraph, without mentioning what it is, but then include a link in your signature pointing people to your product.

      LOL !!!

Maybe if he had written a better proposal, his results would have been better.

Hey Tom, thanks for the response!

    You said,
"search for niche-related keywords like "wow guide" or something and find people running Adwords ads. These are most likely affiliates,"
However, I don't see how this helps, since those google ads simply link to the clickbank hopid. It doesn't tell me who that affiliate is, unless I'm missing something? I just checked and confirmed.

    (3) find authority blogs in your niche and look for signs of IM-savviness (like opt in forms or affiliate links). Contact them to see if they'd promote for you.
Been doing that a ton the past couple days. I've sent out a few hundred hand written emails to websites that I've found on google. I'm not sure this is the best way though, but it is something!

Here is the big thing: I'm not doing anything new, people do this all the time. People build products that need affiliates, and then there are affiliates who need to find products to promote.

Why isn't there a section on WF dedicated exclusively to that? Or how about another website, dedicated exclusively to bringing Clickbank vendors and Clickbank affiliates together? It seems like a no brainer and everybody involved would make huge cash.

Too many ****ty products would be promoted there by the product creators. That's part of what makes Clickbank appealing, is that you can quickly scan the terms of the product's promotion strategy and see if anyone has had success in selling it.

You know that within a day of creating that forum it would be filled with people's various "Get rich in 2 days!" products.

Moderating a forum is easy, I have several large ones now. That isn't even an afterthought to running a community forum.

So it still remains to be asked, why isn't there a website, or a forum on WF, or a resource, created specifically to get Clickbank Vendors matched up with Clickbank Affiliates? It would seem like a no brainer to me.
