Product Launch Questions...

Warriors..

I'm currently working on my first major info product, which I plan to sell on ClickBank when complete. I just have a few questions for those of you who are seasoned in this area. I'll assume you are using Wordpress as your platform and in this case is it worth it to purchase a "product launch theme" if for nothing else than to make the process easier?

Also I'm wondering what things should be considered before a lunch? I've never done this before so I'm just trying to do it right.

I welcome any and all advice.

    About worpress I can't tell you much, only that I dont use it for landing pages.

    Above anything I can only give you one single advice: before launching test, test, test, test..you got the idea

    You can use google website optimizer to test different variations of your page.

    If your landing page converts, nothing else matters.

      This is one area that I'm unsure of. How exactly do I test the landing page before the product is on clickbank?

    I have read that some people offer their product as a WSO here to collect feedback and see if there's anything they need to change/add before launching it on Clickbank. That won't really test your sale pages as much as your product, but it could help reduce refunds. Plus, it's good to have genuine testimonials on your sales pages.

      A great Wordpress Theme for Information Marketing in general is Optimize Press.

      It has built in templates for squeeze pages, sales pages, etc.

      PLUS ... it can handle a Funnel to do "traditional" product launches (a la Jeff Walker).

      Not sure of the type of launch you're doing. But if you want to have a squeeze page + pre-launch content that leads to a sales page -- then Optimize Press will simplify you life.

      Plus it handles Video like a champ as well.

      That problem here is that this product is not in the IM/MMO niche. It's in the health/fitness niche.

    Hmm... I don't use wordpress for landing pages and sales pages. I actually do everything myself . I'm experienced in GFX, coding and have a lot of experience in writing sales letters.

    So again, my suggestion, don't use wordpress to start, although, it could be easier, but I personally never tried it and don't want to.

    I thoroughly recommend the 'Always Be Launching' course by Tanner Larrson. It teaches you the whole marketing process behind a launch...how often to email, what to write and how to structure everything. It's probably the best product I ever bought. It also gives you the wordpress theme too...you can't go wrong with that!

    Always Be Launching was directly responsible for my first $1000 day I had around 2 weeks ago.
