Default How to I Keep Hubpages From Banning Me?

I've recently been blogging on many blogs and web 2.0 sites.

Well, I'll be honest, I dont really blog, I just slap my pre-written $1.50 articles up there.

Anyway, with each post I put a post-keyword-specific anchor text at the end linking back to my site.

But Hub has banned me for this.

How can I do this without being so obvious? I mean -- I am nto spamming anything. i am simply providing content. Google should like me.

And its not an affiliate link. It just goes to my domain for my niche..

Easy, don't use HubPages but use other, more IM friendly, sites such as Squidoo, Blinkweb, Synthasite and others.

Here's some wise advice about leaving nothing to chance from the Oilman...

Plainview: I do my own drilling and the men that work for me, work for me and they are men I know. I make it my business to be there and see to their work. I don't lose my tools in the hole and spend months fishing for them; I don't botch the cementing off and let water in the hole and ruin the whole lease. I'm a family man- I run a family business.

Hey Oilman,

I post full blown articles I write from scratch to my Hub pages, and haven't had a problem one with them. These articles range from 350-750, sometimes higher. At the end of SOMe of the articles (about 1/3) I post a link to one of my sites. If you do it on every article, they may see your hub as being spammy.

A couple of other things that may have something to do with you being flagged is the type of content, and the amount of overall links in your Hub.

I know they aren't fond of X rated sites, gambling, etc ...

Also, if you have too many links in the "Link" block area that lead to your sites they will flag you also.

Try putting in 2-3 feeds in the feed section, and 2-3 links in the "Links" block section every other article.

And btw, there is no need to stop using Hubpages. Just change or tweak what you are doing on them, and you'll be successful with them.

Hope this helps ...

Oilman,

That's no problem. If I can help you further with Hubs, just send me a PM, and I'll be happy to help wherever I can.

James is right btw in that Hubs wants good content. The story part is up to the individual.

I know I give strategies about forum marketing, networking, and other marketing related stuff, and very seldome use stories.

Saying this, it's all about content. Even with the SEs right now, it's about content. This is why many other services want you to pots good content.

as far as i know there are only 2 links maximum per hub and if you exceed to that you are under surveillance and have a possibility to be banned

Ahhhh HubPages. Good luck

Seriously though, you should be able to get it through if you keep it to under two links...including blog RSS feed...

I have used Hubpages with excellent results. I usually use one link to my site within my actual text content. In the links section, I have many outgoing links, but none of them go to the same url. For example, I only link to one squidoo lens, one Ezine article, one post on my blog, etc.

They don't like you to have multiple links to one site, even if they are different articles, different lenses, etc.

Just watch the links, don't be overly promotional, and you should do just fine

I just had one link with every post. Maybe I will just have one link to my site with every 3 posts or so.. and add some other outbounds. Does that sound ok?

Hubpages has gotten increasingly more difficult to work with. I still use them somewhat, but put most of my energy into other more friendly 2.0 sites. It's just not worth the hassle, especially when places like Squidoo seem to help more anyway.
