So I've set up my site with Clickbank, now what?

Hi,

First post on here so forgive me if I'm asking an obvious question or am in the wrong place, but...

I've just set up my first site using WordPress and selling and advertising to affiliates in Clickbank. The site promotes and sells an ebook and has been up and running for just under a month now and we've had no sales and are getting maybe 10 - 30 visits a day, but it looks mostly like it's potential affiliates having a sniff around.

In my opinion, the site has a good affiliate program with healthy commissions (50% on a $97 product) and we have plenty of information and collateral for affiliates to use...BUT we're just not getting any sales.

Ok, it's a niche product, it's only been about 3 weeks since launch...but am I being too impatient? What more can I be doing to get more traffic?

I appreciate that for this sort of site, there's a lot of copy on the squeeze page but this is just to get started...I know a lot of the better performing sites are using vid clips these days instead of a long squeeze page crammed with copy, and that's eventually where I'd like to get to...

BUT what more can I do to reach out to affiliates and potential customers alike?

Based on your numbers you've had about 400 hits since you launched, and although you should have seen a sale or two if your were converting well, it still could be too early to tell if your sales page converts.

At the moment, your conversion rate is 0%, but 3 people could buy in the space of 10 clicks and your conversion rate would jump up to an acceptable .75% (this kind of thing can and does happen).

So I'd say you need to find ways to increase your traffiic so you can get a better idea if you're converting or not.

If you get to 1,000 hits without a sale, start making changes to your sales letter/process (as your traffic increases, it'll make it more worthwhile for you to split test your sales page - something to keep in mind).

    Thanks guys...

@omrishabbat - I agree with you entirely...I think we just need to get more traffic first to at least see if the content is working. Like you say, I might leave it a while to see the state of our Google rank before making improvements in content.

@ Alex Taylor - any pointers on where and how to get the traffic? We've got loads of info regarding our affiliate scheme on our site (with articles, email copy, ppc copy etc) but we need to get the affiliates (and ultimately, the customers) to find us first...

Where does everybody go to start reaching more affiliates? At the moment, we're just relying on people finding us in the Clickbank Marketplace...
