Erasing a Blogger blog

I have an old Blogger/Blogspot blog. I want to delete it. I never transfered my old account to a new google account.

Of course I cant login. I remembeer the email but not the password.

I have read everything at google and no solution seems available. I cannot find any contact email for blogspot.

Anybody got any ideas?

Update: I reported the blog for spam and a copyright infringement. It has finally been deleted.

Thanks

  • Searching around google/blogger forums found a lot of people with the same problem.

There might be a $$ service if a solution is found.

I have tried reporting the blog as spam daily for a week. Nothing yet.

    • The name of the blog is my keyword and I want to start using the exact match domain.

My name is on the blog and I don't want my name tied to the site.

So you're saying its not part of Google's Blogger Blogspot?...I know there, after deleting a blog, it still is available for 90 days, before complete deletion. Wouldn't Google still be able to assist you in removing it if you could show some proof of it being yours?

I'm not getting what you are saying. Does the blog have a domain name(your keyword, exact match domain) or a blogger subdomain name?

If the exact match domain name is your blog name then there's nothing anyone can do about it except google/blogger staff. Domain buy service of godaddy or the likes too won't be able to help you. I think if google/blogger staff doesn't respond then you will have to wait till the domain expires.

    • Its keyword.blogspot.com

Its has a single stupid/embarrassing post with my first name tied to the post. Its first page on google search. I have the domain "keyword.com " and I want to build a site and promote it but i dont want my stupid blogspot blog to be underneath my site in search.

The problem is I have not found anyway to contact blogspot. They direct everything to a FAQ/help forum. I have not found a single email to contact blogspot.

Handwritten Articles, First off, try and recover the email address you had before by going through the recovery process if you have forgot the password.

If that email account doesn't exist then you may be able to create it again.

If that email address belongs to someone else then send an email to that person on that very email address and try and communicate to that person to send your new password to you after you reset your blogger password.

If that email account can't be accessed for any reason then there is no way you can get that blog out of your way, until google/blogger deletes it after some time (which happens when your email id attached to the blog no longer exist), don't know how long it takes.

I doubt that anyone is using that email address. I sent off an email just in case.

The email service from has been discontinued.

          Thanks for the idea.

update: email bounced. good idea though.

I plan on promoting that keyword/web site and I know how people use google.
A lot of people do not enter domains in address bar they enter them into google and search. Hence why im trying to purge the google search of links to me.

That photo is from yellowstone. Thanks for proving my point. lol

    Handwritten -

Not sure if this was suggested - but you could go to the hosting company. At least with the email, you may be able to prove ownership.

They may be willing to delete the site if you can give the right information and authority.

    Just a thought.

    Best of luck - cheers!

This is quite the ironic story. At one point I had nearly 500 Blogger blogs, and almost all of them have disappeared for no reason.
