    1. Good traffic stats
    2. Recurring income stats
    3. Good SEO stats

With Flippa you really need to offer quality sites. The run of the mill turnkey sites with no traffic, etc don't go for much.

Get some traffic and a recurring income over a period of 3 months and your sites will sell like hot cakes

Domain name and content of your website is important.

However it is better to sell when website is at least 3 months old when you have some statistics to show. This will get you more money.

I could never understand why someone with a successful site already generating income, especially a good regular recurring income would sell it, surly it's better to just ramp up whatever is working and leave it ticking over...
    Just my thoughts on flipping.

People get bored of sites, lose interest and give up with it all together.

There are a lot of different reasons people sell.

Some people just like the upfront cash for new projects.

I prefer to build and sell rather than build and promote continually. I'd rather build a great site, get the traffic and income started and make a bulk amount than continue to market it. Some people are builders and some are marketers. Some are both.

There are a lot of factors that affect sales price on Flippa. Some of the big ones include.

    Some are:

1.) Revenue (monthly gross and monthly profit)
2.) Traffic (unique visits per month)
3.) Alexa Ranking (lower = higher price)
4.) Google Pagerank (Higher = higher price)
5.) Subscribers/Followers (email, twitter, facebook, etc.)
    6.) Quality domain name
7.) Proprietary Content (articles, products, etc.)
8.) Bidding strategy (was it featured, what is the reserve and BIN)
    9.) Sellers history on Flippa

I could go on, but those are some big ones.

    Chris.

If you take the blog approach, you'd be doing the "sell them the shovels" thing. Which sometimes is easier than actually doing the real work. It depends what you're more comfortable with. So you could be a "miner" and actually flip sites. Or you can be a "shovel seller" and teach people how to flip sites. If you know what you're doing, you can do well in either area. You'll probably make bigger lumps of money as a flipper faster, than with a blog about flipping though.

There are 'horses for courses', some people enjoy programming and making things and then selling them to whoever wants to use them.
