How Do I Split-Up A 30-Minute Camtasia Video?

Is it possible to split a 30-minute Camtasia SWF video into 3, 10-minute videos?
I have Camtasia 3 but I didn't create this video so I don't have the source file.
Is it just a matter of loading it into my Camtasia 3 and editing it?

    Unfortunately it's not that easy...

Camtasia (as with most video editing software) cannot Import SWF as media...

You'll need to convert the file to something else...I recommend AVI.

There are LOTS of tools to do this conversion. I use a nifty little tool called SWF & FLV Toolbox by Eltima

You can search this forum or Google to get other recommendations.

Once you have the AVI source:

    * Import it into Camtasia...

    * Set Markers for where you want the video to split...

    * Produce in whatever format you want and use the Produce Multiple Files Based on Markers option.

NOTE: I can't actually recall if all of this will work as stated in Camtasia 3. That's going back a ways...

You could always download the latest version 30 day trial and at least get this project done...

    Hope this helps!

Dude, you can't split a SWF File.

You would need to convert it into an AVI File. Some say SUPER (SUPER © .) converts everything out there. But the learning curve is big.

You could try Zamzar - Zamzar - Free online file conversion

After You're done with the conversion there are plenty of AVI splitters out there. Like Lon said, even Camtasia does the trick.

    Hope this helped.

    Cheers,
    Sumit.
