This is a really stupid question but is a squeeze page part of your site or does one host it on a separate domain? I am more than a little stoopid as far as this is concerned. I know that it is to build your list but not sure of the connection between what you are recommending as an affiliate on your main site and the lading page where you would normally offer a free product in return for email addresses and names.

    Hi,

It's not a stupid question. If you don't know, you don't know.

You can put it anywhere you want, really. It all depends on what you want
to accomplish and what you are concerned about. For example, you can put
it on a totally separate domain if you want. So you gather optins and then
reveal the domain where your offer resides later.

Perhaps you do not want to reveal your offer, and where it is found, until you
engage in preselling with your emails, etc.

Or, you can have your squeeze page on its own separate page but part of
your main domain. But then, people could just check out the root and see
what it's all about. So I don't know why you would want to do that.

The landing page and squeeze page can serve the same purpose. Generally
speaking, the squeeze page is called that when you want to collect optins. A
landing page can be used for that purpose or it can be just a page where you
send people after they click on an ad, such as a ppc ad. It does not have to
    be for optins.

It's just terminology and what people have come to call these pages. A landing
page can be used for optins but does not have to be used that way. The
squeeze page term is understood to be for optins only, generally speaking in
    terms of accepted usage.

On your main site, you will have your presell, content or whatever and you
provide a link to the affiliate product sales page which belongs to the vendor
    or product creator.

Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

      Thanks Ken,

When I am a little clearer about it all I might well take you up on your offer!

Yup, Ken is correct. You can put your squeeze page anywhere in cyberspace you want, well anywhere you have rights to.

    Good luck in your endeavors.

Landing page is just a page on your existing domain.

So if your blog is located at yourdomain.com/blog

Than your squeeze page may be located at yourdomain.com/optin.html

It's a standalone html page or a specifically designed wordpress page.

Your squeeze page could run off of many different factors.

    say your domain is xwy.com

You could set it up any number of ways here are some.

    1. Squeeze page on from index.html page which offers something of value but also has a link that directs them to your main blog
    2. Pop up domination plugin for your wordpress blog allows you to capture visitors information
    3. Squeeze page off your main page for example xwy.com/squeezepage1.html
    4. Slide in ad that allows visitors to opt in from your main page

You will want to create a product of your own ebook, videos, email series etc about the topic you are going to promote products for.

Not sure if this has been covered, but you also need to have an autoreponder so that you can copy & paste some code to make the form appear.

Depending upon how and what you're giving away in the code you copy and paste can be very different. If you're blogging then something like digilistbuilder is super easy to use with aweber, but this will be totally different to a stand alone squeezepage.

Overall it may be worth searching youtube as plenty of people like myself have recorded videos explaining things like this.
