Default Looking for Website Monitoring Tool

Hi Warriors,

Am looking for a free website monitoring tool that can track if the home page is
available or not, do pings to the sites ip and to check server status? I guess something similar
to magic monitor? Any suggestions?

Thanks plenty.

Carey,
if you have access to another system you can set up Nagios (Nagios: The Leader and Industry Standard in Enterprise System, Network, and Application Monitoring) to do this - but it does require system admin/networking experience.

Another source is Free Web Monitoring: Your Free Web Site Monitoring Service, I've not used them before, but they do offer a free check every 60 minutes.

When you get to the point where you need a commercial level system I can recommend Keynote's RedAlert service (Web Site Monitoring by Keynote Red Alert). I've used them since 1999 to monitor systems when I've not been running a data center.

Good luck!
