My first week in AM - no sales - but progress

Ok, this was my first real week in affiliate marketing. Here is what I have accomplished:

-Built 4 websites in different niches including blog and sales page
-Built two Squidoo lenses
-Wrote 25 pages of websites content and blog posts
-Submitted 10 articles to EZA
-Bookmarked all my sites, plus a couple articles per site

I havent got any sales yet, but I have got about 90 hops.

Here is one of my sites. It is in a super competitive niche, but I am going to let this one simmer for a while while I update it. Maybe in a couple of months, and with a lot of content, I can have it making some good money.

What should I focus on next, that will eventually get me a sale? Should I focus on EZA submissions, or blog posts? Any game plan strategy you can lay out for me, based on what I have already accomplished?

Wow, give yourself a pat on the back

It sounds like you are on the right track here. It's great that you are taking action. I think the most important thing right now is for you to not get impatient and hang in there. This is all going to take time.

90 hops is good. It sounds like your articles are well written and bringing in the clicks. If you want sales, I think the best thing you can do is continue to article market.

As far as promotion for your sites, I'd suggest continuing to build links. Check out some of the additional places similar to squidoo (like hubpages, wikianswers, etc).

Also, I'd suggest spending some time entering content into your sites and set them to autopost in the future. This will allow you to take a break from content creation and focus on other things.

    • Thanks for your response. My EZA articles havent been approved, yet. My traffic is coming from bookmarks, and a handful of organic search engine traffic. It's weird, I look at my traffic stats, and it shows me the keywords people entered in google to find my site. Then I go search google with the ohrase, and cant find my site.

Well, you've done the first step which is taking action. Now just keep it up and it will pay off.

Keep submitting articles, even if you end up with a backlog, because the more you have behind you the better.

Great job! I just started in the same week as well and you've already accomplished so much! I'm going the article route so all I've done is setting up blog, make some posts and submitted 5 articles a day for the past 3 days waiting to be approved.

Is there any reason why you choose to start with 4 different niches instead of just concentrating on alternating between two products first?

Want to know how much I made my first week in Article Marketing? $4.97.

I now regularly pull in low 5-figures a month from the traffic gotten directly or indirectly from article marketing.

Generating profits is all about thinking in numbers. If you are making $100 a month from 20 articles, all you have got to do is get 200 articles out there and suddenly you are making $1000 a month and probably building a big list as well.

Double your traffic, double your conversions and your profits QUADRUPLE.

    Wow that's great shakd14.
But, I my opinion, promoting so many product in one site is not really efficient.
It's better to promote a product, and focus on writing articles for that product.
