backlinks problem

Wanted to know if anyone can help me out on this. I have posted at least 10 videos on youtube linking back to my site. I linked to my site in description and in profile. Also videos have been embeded in website itself. However, google does not see those links at all. In addition I have other dofollow links and articles on ezine. I checked my links and everything works. But google does not see them. Can anyone help and explain what is going on?

    It takes time. Sometimes it's up to a week or two. Just be patient and everything is going to be ok.

    Patience young jedi.

    While you are waiting for those links to get into motion, how about you go get more high pr links, mix it up a bit.

    Also be aware that google doesn't usually list all your backlinks in your analytics account. PM me your website URL if you wish and I will check if any have stuck for you yet?

      Thank you Ross. I am not stoping. Just concern. After all definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. I want to make sure that I am doing the right thing.

        This sounds repetitive, but it's purely as simple as patience.
        Google and Yahoo take some time, but they do eventually get around to it.
        When that happens, your ranking will skyrocket to the top!
        Just wait for it, it will come.

    With all honesty don't waste your time checking to see if your backlinks are counting as backlinks. In the time it takes to check all of this you could be making more backlinks. Backlinks are used for traffic generation as well so the one you put on your videos are going to drive some kind of traffic and count at some point to your pages overall PR rank and rankings,

      Thanks. I just want to make sure they show up in my webmaster tools someday. I continue to use web 2.0 properties to generate links. Time will tell I guess
