$5 per week is absurd if you are hiring them full time. Like the previous poster indicated, the cheapest Virtual assistants usually run at $250 per month. A good virtual assistant will probably cost more.

Stop thinking CHEAP when it comes to outsourcing. It is true that you can find good virtual assistants in some countries for a few hundred dollars a month, but $5 per week is ridiculous.

There is an old saying "you get what you pay for" the quality will represent your product, and your sales.

And if you are building a list of subscribers, trust me if you sell crap product, they will Not order from you again, and the amount of refunds will be through the roof, it is just not worth it.

With the right product a $250.000 investment will pay off 10 fold.

Why don't you find someone to outsource to and tell them they can have the adsense money that is produced while they are working as there incentive to work harder and better.

cheap outsourcing can definitely be effective. Especially if you give clear instructions. But the cheapest I've seen is also 250 dollars per month. 5$ per week sounds insane, I would seriously like to question the argument that nothing's impossible. I've never understood that cliche.

Fact is, some stuff is impossible. The goal is to achieve the best of what is possible. And a good outsourced employee for 250 bucks is what I'd call a bargain.

IF you get a hold of how to get things outsourced for $5 a week, I would like to know.
Because, $250 a month is basically the lowest I've seen.
Let us know if you find out!

For $5 a week, you will probably get what you pay for, which goes without saying anyway.

Paying someone pennies won't get you a good job done.

If a good job is not done then you will lose money over time. If a better job is done your chances of success also increase dramatically. Therefore you pay more to begin with but earn more in the long run.

I understand if you are limited with money - you could possibly break your outsourcing requirements down into smaller pieces if money is a problem to begin with, focus on outsourcing what is a priority to you which will lead to making more money and then you can put more money back into the outsourcing once you have acquired more?

That's interesting because Elance say this...

Job size must be greater than $50.
I'd be interested in just how much of a looooong way that money went.

Everyone keeps coming back to one assumption which is not established here.

Are we talking about $5 a week for full time work?

I can spend $20 a week to outsource to 4 different workers. But I'm only paying them for 1-3 hour each for the week.

Which means I'm outsourcing to 4 different workers for about $5 per worker per week. But the work I need done takes 1-3 hours, so I'm paying them anywhere from $1.66 to $5 per hour each depending which worker it is.

Add a tiny bit of marketing sauce, and I can legitimately say I outsource for $5 per week. So without clarification as to whether it is stated that this is for full time work, it's very difficult to say for sure.

trust me you get what you pay for. No use going for the cheapest..i would normally go for the most expensive, because the quality of the work is better and they are serious about helping you better your busienss.

    Just saying.

$5 a week sounds a little dodgey to me.

I understand the concept of searching for a bargain, who doesn't!? But when it comes to outsourcing, Wouldn't you rather pay a little more, knowing you're going to get what you pay for. Better quality.

I'd avoid it if I was you, just my 2 cents.

  • You certainly can outsource for $5 a week, but this obviously isn't for hiring a full time worker.

It's probably for getting a single task done - e.g. of the style 'an article a week for $5'. Of course, that's a model easily replicated by yourself using Fiverr.

Just sounds like a headline figure to get attention to me.

I agree that quality matters. Even IF it only cost $5 per week...what good is that if they do a crummy job?? I would rather pay MORE and get better and more reliable work.

$5 per week would usually be 1-2 hours. Eg. A person to do a few tweets and backlinks for you every week
