Neat service -- welcome.to
Hello Warriors,
Just thought I'd tell you about a service I just discovered -- http://welcome.to -- they allow you to create vanity URLs that redirect, under your control, to a URL of your choice.
This is useful if yourname.com is already taken -- you can instead set up http://welcome.to/yourname.com.
They show a top-frame that contains an ad, and you can close it, so that you don't get distracted from visiting the site.
Example: http://welcome.to/joe118
They also provide email redirection, so joe118@welcome.to now redirects to my primary email w/o revealing what that is -- and I can cut off all the spammers that will inevitably hit that email in one step. Pretty nifty.
