An ebay for services?

I'd be interested to know what people think of Comcero.com it's kind of an ebay for services.

You don't buy 'things' or products on it but you can offer or buy all kinds of services.

I really want to hear people's comments and thoughts as to whether this is really marketable online? Or whether people just seek services offline still?

Thanks

Personally, I think people will still look offline for services as a majority. However, I think there would be enough people looking online to make a website like this worthwhile.

I noticed that this is based in the U.K? Another problem I feel this website may have, is that due to British culture, almost everyone has friends that work in sectors like plumbing, construction, electronics, or engineering.

Not to say that this wouldn't work though. Anyway, is the ways of marketing, I think this type of website would be better off marketed OFFLINE, in newspapers, billboards, radio adverts, etc etc. As IMO these are the main places people look for these types of services.

Sounds good, an ebay for services. I do not know of one here in america. Perhaps you can start one. It will be hard rowing. CL is basically taking over.

It seems like a good idea...however the difficulty is that if only a few people are offering services in only a few locations it will die pretty quickly. It really needs critical mass. Maybe just opening it in a few small cities, then states before branching it nationwide.
