Wordpress Disabled My Blog...

Basically i had just finished a total of 20 posts which i done in a row. I copied and pasted them from me ebook.

My plan was and still is to team up a blog with my squeeze page and opt in lists to produce some very good earnings through promoting affiliate products.

Basically the squeeze page will collect emails, the blog will also collect emails, emails will be monetized after a few friendly freebies have been sent out and the blog was going to sit there and generate profits kind of like and after effect from the emails that i send.

But....

My plan was side bumped when only like 20 minutes ago wordpress disabled my brand new blog. There was no reason given, just that what i am doing is perhaps not in accordance with their terms and conditions.

Personally i think ill get my blog back. I reckon the reason is they spotted some fast and heavy posting and probably thought software was doing it for me.

Has anyone experienced this before? And how did you get around it?

Their terms of use place restrictions on commercial content.
Host your own wordpress blog and you can do what you like.

This is an easy fix. Just get your own domain (you can get shared hosting for just a few bucks a month) and there will be no worries about what you do, you'll OWN your blog rather then renting it from WordPress. Just think if you would have gotten established, then disabled!

Why do people try and conduct business on third party hosting solutions?

    Wordpress do not like commercial.

Invest the $9 for a domain and the $6 a month to host your own wordpress blog then you can do whatever you like.

For one thing, your backlinks are not related to your IP address. I've found that my Wordpress.com blogs don't get unfavorable attention because the content is generally non-commercial. I do have backlinks to my local listings, but they're not directly commercial.

You really should run it on your own server. For the like $5 a month it will cost you get total control over it.

It's not just affiliate links, WP just kills blogs that are promotion. Got three of mine not long ago and there was no affiliate links.

Every one saying not to use them, but they can be good for link backs and traffic. Course I wouldn't put my important work on them.

Yeah, they're still useful...I just wouldn't recommend using one as a landing page. Wordpress doesn't even let you use Adsense.

Ok so before i go and blog my way to the bank.

Which do you guys recommend. Blogger or WP?

      Personally im a non techie and blogger is easier but i have heard some good things about WP. I know most people will want to know why im setting a blog up so here goes in short;

I have a list of about 100 opt in subscribers that want info on pro gaming.

I have an ebook which i originally planned to sell until i realized no one wants to buy it but that plenty of people will certainly have it for free.

At the moment a fellow warrior is creating a squeeze page for me so that i can consistently build opt ins by offering the free ebook.

A few friendly freebies will go out first then the affiliate emails will start.

Along with this i plan to have a blog kind of synchronizing the whole deal and making it much sweeter for the reader, i also want to add my aweber opt in to the blog.

      ...?

Yes, Wordpress.com is well known for deleting blogs seeming too commercial, with aff links, or just because they can, not to mention they will add their own Adsense ads to your posts.

Host your own Wordpress blog- or better yet your own Wordpress directory of blogs with the Wordpress Multi-User platform...

GoinDeep, I think most people around here agree the best way to go about doing your website is through a real host and having your own blog on that probably with your own installation of Wordpress, in my opinion it is the best. Pay for your own domain, and get some hosting.

I dont understand why people like blogs in the first place. If you have to buy a domain name and pay monthly hosting fees, why not just build a 'real' website in the first place.

When I visit blogs they are usually no value whatsover, have a couple of crummy pages of content and are basically a waste of time to me.

If people want a truly free online promotion tool, that allows you to promote your products and affiliate links, and also PAYS YOU to use it as a marketing tool, why on earth arent more people using squidoos?????

They are attractive, a 5 year old could build one from stacking the modules (including money making ones) and you can upload all the graphics etc. to make simply STUNNING webpages that are informative.

I also use squidoos to make mini-websites, by linking the extra squidoo pages like the pages on a website....

For the life of me, I dont know why Wordpress and other blogs have any appeal to any visitor... and when did you last see a blog in the top 10 of Google searches, compared to how often you will find a squidoo lens?

Wouldn't be promoting the service in your sig by any chance?

Hey Ouroboros, re my sig file: my core business is building websites... and they all Alexa rank in the top 1-2% and THAT is what I make my living at for the past 5 years.

The Squidoo signature is for a WSO that is closing in a few hours, that I have set up as a JV with a friend who isnt as lucky as me.

And yes, we have had a fantastic result, thank you, thank you, thank you, Warriors - Theresea is totally blown away by the business you wonderful Warriors have put our way, and she now has an ongoing internet business opportunity that we will keep working together on in the new year.

But next week I also go back to my ebook publishing for myself and my JV partners.... so as for the signature - sure, I hope someone clicks from curiousity and helps bring in an even better New Year for Theresea and myself, ... but from next week that signature could be for any of my WSO projects!

The simple fact is, that I think Wordpress and the other so called "free" Blogs totally, absolutely, unquestionably, irrefutably SUCK, when people could spend the same money on a SiteSell website, that will rank top 1%, include SEO automatically, ping, blog, email, autoresponder, form builders, upload and download your books for sale, subscribe and publish your ezine, etc etc etc... what a waste of money these so-called "blogs" are in comparison !!!!

And anyone who wants a top value FREE online marketing tool cannot do better than to go check out Squidoo.

          'Nuff said!
