Default Why are my test Aweber emails going to the junk folder?

Warriors:

In writing my autoresponder messages, I have tested serveral different subject line headings for my first email in my series. The latest (and least intrustive) is the subject line of "Hello". All my Aweber Spam Scores are 1.2-1.6 --- so I know they are pretty good and this is NOT the issue.

The only thing I can think of is I am using Outlook and maybe its Outlook that is causing my test emails to go to junk.

Thoughts? Opinions?

Best regards,

Chris Negro

Have a look at your mail message rules.

I find I can get it in or out of the junk folder by adjusting the words. It could be a word making it happen.

Try the spam score checker etc...

My intial email has a spam score of 1.6 which is good...so I'm not sure what the problem is. However, I noticed in my hotmail account...IT DOESN'T go in the junk folder -- so it could be an Outlook specific issue.

Thoughts?

You are right in thinking it's Outlook. A simple way to make sure you get your own test messages is to put your autoresponder email address into your contacts folder in Outlook. Then, the program will see that it's something you "like" and will not trash it.

I'm always finding regular emails in my Outlook Junk folder - even ones that come from legitimate sites. In fact, I get several messages from one source and some go into junk and some don't.

The other think you can check is your "Rules" - where you set up rules for email you don't want. If you've never done this, then that's probably not your problem. But if you have, take a look in the Rules and see if there is one in there that might be causing this junk issue.

There might be a setting in your "Security" section too - depends on what level you're set at. Worth checking.

I won't send an email broadcast unless it is a zero score.

I modify the words until it is zero.
