Hello

I am thinking of creating a WSO which will be built around interviews with some well known IM marketers.

My question is: What is the best way to record these interviews? I have heard of FreeConferenceCall.com Another option is Skype which seems to be a good possibility.

Obviously I am trying to keep the costs of the the recording to a minimum, or even zero so do you have any preferences as to the best and most economical way to record the interviews?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Philip

I think the recording should be the least of your concerns. Are you certain you can get a decent amount of well known IM'ers to do the interview with you, making your WSO worthwhile?

Back to the recording though, I'd suggest Skype, and some kind of screen recording technology.

    All the best.

Have a look at Audio Recording Software for Podcasters for audio recording and editing.

I use Skype and Call Graph, then I edit the interview within Audacity. All free and works like a champ.

I'm recommend you offer both of these as an option.

A lot of bigger name marketers are much happier just picking up a phone, particularly if they use their mobile phone.

There are, however, some issues with this for International marketers, and having Skype as another option is equally valuable.

My computer has a recording audio feature. If your computer has a webcam and mic it should have this feature as well. If you couple this with Skype you can record all the interviews with free software, and as someone mentioned edit it with audacity or some other free audio editing software.

I've recorded interviews using Skype with PowerGramo. Worked real well and length only depends on space you have on your computer(my interview went 45 minutes).

Test everything of course, then let the software do its job.

Skype is good - I use mp3 recorder - it automatically records. If I need to edit I will use Audacity.

If I want to do a tele seminar I use Freeconferencecallhd dot com, the quality is really good, I can upload and support is great too

The best way to do it is to have each person record their side of the conversation with a program like audacity while you are on a head set with skype or a phone call. Then have the person you interiewed send you the file he recorded on his side and you can synch them up later. This way you get the highest quality recording and it sounds like they are in the same room. You simply clap your hands or make a sharp noise at the beginning so it is easy to synch up the 2 tracks

I Just did some strategy sessions with other internet Marketers for a product I am going to be releasing. I used Skype plus Pamela (Can get a 30 day trial) and used Audacity to edit the interviews.
