Is anyone real goods & services other than get rich tips?

Fellow Warriors,

I am fairly new to the game of online business, but I do understand the the earning potential and the formula for success. I like to consider myself a student still and even an ambassador of the underground online money makers. I feel its the best way to earn a living, though I'm yet to see a dime.

I read a book by Yanik Silver, which of whom some may be familiar with, I then brainstormed some ideas, found a niche(hopefully), wrote some eBooks and 6 months later put up a single website titled myspeedycomputer101.com about PC maintenance. Its legitimate material on how to speed up and maintain a PC for the novice user...without shady software registry cleaners.

My point is, it seems like the majority of sites out there are selling are selling advice on how to either, get rich, make (arbitrary $ here) a mo., how to copy write in order to make more money, and affiliate marketing.

Am I missing the boat here? Are there any other success stories selling tangible goods or actual helpful material?

P.S. If anyone would like to review my site i'm open to all critques. And thanks.

Desperately seeking success,

-Pronwnk

If you look around here, there are a lot of people doing well in the online game.

Websites a little plain. But plain isn't always bad.

But if your going for a squeeze page, put a little more POP! into your website. It'll have more people interested and they won't think this information is outdated from 1997.

    Good luck!

Thanks. If I know my lingo right, a squeeze page is the e-mail box, correct?

        Not quite.

A squeeze page (in contrast to "a landing page which includes an opt-in box") is a page of which the sole content is an opt-in and the text promoting the opt-in.

You're not missing the boat. You're focusing on what is essentially a bubble
and just one part of a huge universe. Truly.

There are lots of stories, thousands, about people making a lot of money selling
    just about anything.

Several years ago I read about a young guy, late teens, who starting making
and selling bean bag furniture. This was a while ago, less than ten years, and
he built that into a 30 mil a year operation.

That's just one out of tons of examples.

I'm getting ready to create an ecommerce site selling physical products. I'll
make something out of it, no doubts.

Avoid thinking what you see here, the majority of times, is the extent of it.

Try to get out more often.

I think you should focus more on marketing your site effectively. Videos are a huge success at the moment and they rank high as well. Having the best product in the world is not enough. You need to present it to thirsty eyeballs. A lot of them, actually!

The flash is what gets the attention and attracts the masses. Dreams sell better than practicalities. That is, something like "Make $12,897 a Month Pushing Buttons!" will likely attract more attention and perhaps sell better than "Building Your Business Online."

The thing is that a lot of people don't want to build a business. They just want to make extra money. So, they buy into different systems and programs and whatnot in the hopes of making a fortune doing next to nothing.

Meanwhile, the ones building real businesses are the ones making money. And, when they go to tell people how to make money online, they'll probably have to use a flashy title just to make a few sales.

    It's a bit of a vicious circle.

But, the thing is, just because you see everyone and their half-wit brother selling "make money online" products doesn't mean that's the way most people are actually making money online.

I would guess that the vast majority of people making big money online are not doing it by selling make money online products. They are doing it selling furniture, design work, shoes, shirts, spice mixes, diy guides, fish food, gadgets, self-help books, candles, coffee, etc.
