Hi everyone

From time to time I see posts asking for Fiverr recommendations. Well after using various services over the past 2 months and collating some feedback from previous posts on the Warrior Forum I've decided to put together a small, but hopefully useful, list of gigs that might be worth checking out.

You can find my post right here: Best Fiverr Gigs – My Picks | Qubok

Thanks!
Matt

P.s If anybody has any glowing gig reviews please post them here or in the comments

It is - bare in mind though that most - especially the backlink services - are at least part-automated. I don't do anything like this myself so I assume it doesn't take long for them to action each gig.

Of course. I'd say 99% of SEO services are run with programs, mainly scrapebox and xrumer. I know a lot of people that offer them and a couple that even go as far as to outsource a freelancer to get the details and input it for your site (talk about auto pilot!). It takes the user all of about 2 minutes to get it done for you. Good alternative if you don't want to buy the program but if you have a lot of sites you may be better off purchasing software instead in the long run. Plus you could always do your own fiverr gigs to recoup the cost!

As also mentioned a lot of them are good deals at $5 because the user, upon providing a completion report, trys to upsell you. In fact for a time I provided a service that was not really worth my time for $5 but when you can turn that person into a new SEO client, even if its only 1 in 40, it becomes well worth it.

<edit> Thanks for the list by the way, I see a couple goog gigs I may use in the future there!

Haha, don't worry, I did it for him

The thing with Fiverr is though, you always need to get those first few customers before you get the ball rolling. That's why I didn't stick with it. Couldn't seem to manage to get the success I wanted from it.

It's tough - but just promote the gig outside of the site. Even get a friend to buy your service so you can get good feedback (i've never done this but it would work). Definitely worth pursuing - I make around $400/month on fiverr

Another way to work up a buzz over your gigs is to offer an additional (good) bonus in return for positive feedback. This would be the ethical and responsible way to get your gigs noticed - of course, once it gets popular, you can pull your bonuses and scale back on what you're delivering with your gig.

Have you every figured what that works out to per hour?

I don't sell gigs, but I order lots of gigs, and noticed that the sellers I work with spend significant time messing with pre-sale communications, order communications, doing the work itself, and getting my files onto the public download sites; not to mention the time they spend posting gigs and other internal maintenance stuff. It seems that the sellers I buy from do not earn close to minimum wage.

Anyone who browses thru Fiverr gigs might notice that most gigs don't even have one sale. Again, I'm a fiverr buyer not a seller, but imho it seems that being successful on fiverr is pretty hard to pull off. Matt your thoughts on that comment? thx

Hi there, it's true that you need to have a service which requires minimal communication and can be completed quickly. My primary gig allows this, and as it's currently featured I get around 8 sales per day. Working out an average of fee per hour based on number of orders and how long it takes, I get about $24/hr, which as far as I am concerned is a good number for Fiverr.

This is going to depend on the type of gig you offer. Obviously, you want to ensure that your gigs don't take any more than 5-10 minutes to fulfill - if you can do this, your hourly rate works out to $20+ per hour.

When you encounter people on there who are generous enough to offer time-consuming gigs, those are the ones you want to purchase if they're applicable to your needs. You could even arbitrage some of these gigs quite effectively if you've got some initiative.

There are wonderful ways to utilize Fiverr if you're a little creative.

I personally still use it as a way to do lead generation and meet new potential clients.

You just have to know the right way to set up your gigs

Exactly Danielle, you should think of Fiverr as a "loss leader" that introduces your clients to your higher priced products and services, try to visualize it in bigger terms beyond the $5 that many people seem to get stuck on.

Last fall I ordered Fiverr gigs for "slogan/tagline creation"
from a bunch of fiverr sellers, including Danielle.
Wound up with ~45 slogan ideas.

Danielle your slogan ideas were among the best ones : - )

It's true and unfortunately some people don't mind being busy fools and spending an hour on one task to earn the huge some of $4. You should only do work that, you can complete in 30 minutes or less and are comfortable with or you'll be valuing your skills and services at less than $8 a hour!

I am new to internet marketing and even newer to fiverr. I kept noticing people mentioning making a little quick cash on the site, something I need for sure! So I decided to go and post a gig. Really didn't expect anything to happen. The next day I had an order. The buyer left a great review and I started getting orders almost every day. Then I had a lady who wanted to order 40 gigs, one a day, until I had completed it. I just wanted to share that it can be "succesfull" if you are just looking for a little cash.

I should add that the money per hour that I make off of it is not good. I am writing articles and can't stand to give bad quality. So they are not quick to do. I have had the gig up for less than a month now and have made almost $200. Much needed cash for me.

It sounds like you've made a name for yourself in article writing over at Fiverr. Try to add less demanding and time consuming services to your roster of gigs, and you should do well with those too by virtue of the great feedback on your very first gig.

I do a yahoo answers gig (see sig) which actually takes me about 20 minutes of work per gig so I'm only making like $12/hour on average. I do it mainly to get the money in my fiverr account so I can buy other gigs. Plus I do all the work while I'm at my 'day job' when it's slow so I'm kind of getting paid twice for it.

I've got 3 or 4 loyal buyers that buy a gig as soon as I complete the previous one then I get a few new people to. If I start getting backed up with the gigs I just suspend them for a day or two while I get caught up.

I've made $80 in the last month with out working to hard and I kind of enjoy yahoo answers anyway. Plus I use it to promote my own stuff so I'm already on the site.

Haven't been on fiverr much these past few weeks, and apparently all the good gigs I bought were no longer active, so I guess my list is empty now.

Although I'd really appreciate it if you could include one of my gigs there:

    http://www.fiverr.com/users/bryan99/...0000-page-fans

I'm starting out a friend in the IM field, and since he isn't that great with English I had to post his gig on my account, but he is not getting many buyers. Hopefully you'll like the gig and put it amongst the others on your website.

(I can give you a free test if you'd like, just PM me).

Outsourcing the work in Fiverr is so amazing if you know how to do, because your job will get done professionally and very cheap.

The first thing that you want to do when you want to hire someone in fiverr is to check the user review rate and tries him first before give him your main work to do it for you.

I hope this will help you warriors

I use Fiverr Arbitrage to help close every client I work with. you simply find a bunch of reliable gigs and package them together to make a great sounding package, then give it away for FREE. This is after getting the business owners to tell you how much those SEO telemarketers are quoting.

I throw this in at the end of my negotiation, or at the most appropriate moment. Works great if there is any hesitation. Client does not know I'm using Fiverr and that the cost for each gig is built into his/her package.

I've attached an example invoice I used for a client. Contact details removed for obvious reasons. The webdesign stuff, I do myself, but all the services listed as a bonuses are the Fiverr gigs.

NOTE: The wording in the invoice is actually taken from the gigs and reworded a little. So whatever the Fiverr is saying he/she will do, I reword it to say what the client will be getting... Don't re-invent the wheel ;-)

    Hope this helps.

By the way, I give my Fiverr guys an extra $5 sometimes to keep 'em sweet. That comes out of my own pocket :-).

If any of you are a little self-conscious about using this method to make money, you can find refuge in the thought that all of these tasks are done with automated software, so nobody is sitting in sweat-shop slaving away for a few bucks.

              Stewart,

Be careful when getting design work done from anonymous workers (Fiverr's terms say that sellers are anonymous, and most sellers don't even give their firstname!) and not receiving a signed copyright transfer agreement.

This has been discussed in other threads. There's already been instances of sellers giving buyers artwork that was not theirs and/or they didn't have the right to distribute. Fiverr is a big bag hurt (i.e. legal hurt) waiting to happen. I heavily suggest you guys obtain a signed copyright transfer agreement -- or get the logodesign etc work done somewhere else.

Thanks for the attachment and a great idea Stewart.

      Stewart,

Thanks for sharing your invoice. Looks good. If I may make a suggestion, if you could get it all onto one page that would look a lot more professional, and be more handling-friendly for your clients.

And btw nice job on your website. Clean, informative and good examples of your mobile website work.

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a Warrior named Bob. He was sad. And frustrated. You see, Warrior Bob spent every last nickel on Internet Marketing e-books. But nothing panned out. No traffic. No sales. He was one sad Bob. Then one day Bob found a bottle. He rubbed it and out came a Genie who granted him 3 wishes. For Wish #1 Bob asked for a pet Dragon. Wish Granted. For Wish #2, Bob wanted Warriors' websites seen by 53 million TV viewers, for under $5 per broadcast. The Genie said... (click here)

I've had some success using Fiver.

Fiverr username 'caeazar' did a killer intro vid for me for $5. (I'm not related to the guy and I'm not promoting him. Just sayin').

I had a couple guys do some backlinks/directory submissions for a couple of my sites.

I also had some logos created that were pretty darn good for $5.

I think your article could have been much better.
well nobody expects much from fiverr - myself included - so you DON'T get MUCH. but those gigs are useful for kickstarting a new site, or getting help on bits and pieces.

are you one of these people who thinks you could outsource an entire site to fiverr services and expect it be a success?

    good luck.

in that case I eagerly await your list!! :O

        Hi Chris,

Am I blushing? BestOfFiverr.com is my blog. Thanks for the great recommendation. We really do try all the gigs we review and we show you the results, good, bad or ugly.

Someone else made a comment about so many of the feedbacks on Fiverr being phony. I think it's pretty obvious some folks are either buying their own gigs or having friends do it so they rank high enough to get Featured status. Hopefully Fiverr management will come up with a way to combat this practice. As you point out, it damages the credibility of the site.

Haven't really used Fiverr though I explored it - posted for a service but did not have any takers. Maybe I am not doing it right. I was looking out for someone to contact me by email but did not receive any.

Am sure they provide good services but you'll need to filter and find the good ones

Wow, this is an excellent thread.

My experience has been overall good, although I did just get a refund today for the first time for someone that did not respond to me within 7 days.

Will look at the review site; and it will probably be my "go to" in the future.

Check out these two gigs! I had very good experiences with this seller:
    10 .EDU BACKLINKS
    50 HIGH PR AUTHORITY BACKLINKS

They are quite good for linkbuilding!

I started to do article writing for people on fiverr and I got a customer or two in a couple days after posting and then referring people to my gig from the little WANTED bar on the lower right hand side of the screen. People bought. Now I made over $250 in 3 months!!

The secret to getting a foot into the door is to try to hit the green wanted sidebar to get someone to try you out. THIS is what helps greatly.

My result is I have a couple of regulars now and made likely over 100 from these.

Most of fiverr is crap. People post fake screenshots there all the time for work completed. Fiverr won't even ban the scammers though they will refund your money.

This is a good site to find good or bad gigs:

Best Fiverr Gigs Blog : BestOfFiverr.com : Fiverr Reviews

You are right, recommendations are the way to go. So why list as "best" gigs you haven't even tried? All the scams promise the world but until you try them, you don't know if it will be a roaring success or a scam. And on fiverr, most likely it will be a scam!
Can be a scam at times, I ran into two bad ones where the promised free domain was the laffable co.cc

Others were great! I bought an ebook about something and I was in shock! That ebook was so good.

I found fiverr about two weeks ago and order about 7 or 8 gigs to date so not really felt the effects any at the moment. Two of the article submission links i got messed up the link to my site and it ended up linking internally to somewhere on the articles sites. Just put this down to one of those things the provider resubmitted them and put it right, althought the hundreds of multiple copies wouldn't have helped they where live and on sites within days.......

Why is everyone super reluctant to give out their best gigs????? I can only assume its such hard work to find a good one when you do you wanna keep that golden nugget to yourself.......suppose that may explain it to me

ImGigz and MyCheapJobs are much better for IM'ers as these sites give more flexibility to IM vendors in pricing. There really isn't much you can get done for $5 and you most likely won't be able to make a living being a Fiverr vendor....

ImGigz/MyCheapJobs has more serious IM businesses

    Shane mentioned his up above...

    http://www.imgigz.com/Backlinks/3/submit-an-article-with-2-html-links-in-the-body-to-500-directories

    And you combo that with

I will submit your site to the top 100 search engines, tweet it to 250,000+ twitter followers and post it to 50,000+ facebook friends for $20 : badgehelp - My Cheap Jobs

    and

I will get you 2000 REAL and targeted followers to your twitter account for $20 : badgehelp - My Cheap Jobs
You have the best $50 Promo punch on the planet....

That is 500 targeted hits, 2000 targeted twitter followers, submission to the top 100 search engines and an article that is submitted to 500 directories.

    How can you beat that?
