Hi DAPPW,

The key to success in Internet Marketing is learning the skill of online marketing. I bought into a lot of products, gurus, affiliate programs etc. and it wasn't until I began to learn how to market myself and understand the process that I started making real progress.

In addition, when you learn how to market, you can build your own list. In many cases, when you're an affiliate marketer, you're building a list for someone else.

Mentors and community are really important, so find yourself a like-minded community that provides training and mentoring. If you want some advice on this let me know.

There are some warriors in this very forum who offer coaching for very modest rates. Just search using keywords "coach" or "coaching", your idea of seeking a coach may seem simple but its very profound and will impact positively on your profits.

One of my mentors likes to use the following analogy;

On one's first day at college, the lecturer did not slap books onto the learner and expect the learner to pass the final exams. A learner has to be taught literally.

So does internet marketing. If there is someone who you're accountable to from the word go, there is a high possibility of being successful. So go ahead & seek a mentor/coach. It will help you to stay focused and undistracted.

First of all I'd like to thank everyone who gave my their tips/advise on internet marketing! And also Id like to apologize that it took me so long time to answer to your posts. Last couple of days were really busy and yesterday I got married!

Getting a mentor is by far the best way to success, but you have to have something to offer a mentor in exchange. Usually, it's working with them for free.

So, I suggest you find someone who is extremely successful in the industry in which you want to work, and make them an offer they can't refuse.

Just try the best you can for now.Within the WF various posts you will come across a system/method, you will definitely find a simple one you will like;just copy it with your 2 cents modification added. It is when you are not doing well,then you can seek for a mentor.This way you will understand better.

Just make sure you don't pay anyone to help you out. It's easier, more cost-efficient, and effective to just learn things yourself. You'll learn a lot more that way.

according to me we need to learn internet marketing only by ourselves, there are so many resource available that provide complete information for about how internet marketers work.

there is no need to hire any tutor for internet marketing. but if you are going to start your own internet marketing business then its better to learn from professional tutor

Hi DAPWW,

Congrats on the marriage. I bet you have been busy. Those sorts of events take a lot of time and effort and not something that just happens overnight most of the time.

So I am not offering a mentoring course or class or anything, but I do have some advice. I have been studying and tweaking working in this area for a while. What I have learned is that passion is the best motivator. You will have down days. You will have days were you just want to say @#$% it and move on. But IM is something that gets in your blood.

Most of the time it is because you know that there is a message to get out to the world. Something that could make their lives better. Whether it be the message that working online is real and that you can work from home, make money and have more freedom. Or maybe your message might be something totally in left field that only a select group would get. I have several of those messages. But it because of personal experiences that I have been through that I want to get these messages out. I feel they could help others.

So I have a question. Do you feel that there is something you know that could help others? Well that is where I would start. I am not saying you have to create a product. Some people don't. You can always sell someone else's, but think about this, you will be able to talk the talk and walk the walk so that others know you know where they are coming from.

So you can get a mentor. But if you don't feel you are ready for that step yet, you could just try getting an accountability partner. Someone or a group of someones that you get with or chat with once a week or once a day that know what you goals are. Did you do your to do list? And if you did not can really call you out on any bs that you are trying to use to convince yourself of. And you do the same for them.

Okay I might of rambled a little, but just wanted to give you some ideas. I know that a lot of us suffer from information overload and feel we need someone to sort it out for us, so we know where to begin.

Don't fall into the "easy way" trap. Even if you have the greatest mentor, you'll still need to bust your A** online to see any results.
If I were you, I'd stop reading so much and start doing!
Try and fail first. Take your knocks online and experiment. You can learn more about IM from reading this forum and then, ACTUALLY DOING.
You'll see that you'll learn more and find out more about yourself by trying things out online first, before you align yourself with a mentor. You can PM me if you need more help.

I am glad to see you taking your first steps into Internet Marketing! The best thing that I can tell you is to learn to promote yourself first! There are 4 keys to learning Internet Marketing that I try to tell people about:

1. Connect - This is one of the most important things to be good at. Here, you are going to want to develop many good relationships where you are able to learn from others and teach people that work with you as you grow!

2. Learn - You have to learn the tools of the trade before you can master them. Here you are going to learn about the tools you need, successful strategies, etc so that you can start building your business and teaching others how to do the same. The more you learn, the more you can accomplish! Knowledge truly is power!

3. Promote - Here you are going to put steps 1 and 2 together. Using your connections and the things you have learned, you should be able to build a nice promotion strategy that works for you.

4. Earn - This isn't really a step as much as a result of doing steps 1-3 successfully. Continue to work on steps 1-3 and you will reap more of this!

These are my best tips of advice! IM is a long journey that you must enjoy to be able to stick with it. All I can say is don't give up when you want to and don't jump from one thing to another all the time or you will never be able to set down your roots!

The fact that you're asking for help is an indication that you are on the right track. Finding a mentor is a must, but above all you will need to possess some personal qualities such as persistence perseverance and the self-discipline to never give up.

hi i am in the same boat, i have been doing internet marketing for 2 years with no success. i am looking for a coaching program as well.
my advice to you: learn everything:
i outsourced for thousands of dollars and got me no where.
lwet me know if can help each other looking for a coach...........................
RULE OF THUMB: I DO NOT WANT A PERSON THAT TAKES A BUS TO WORK TELL ME HOW I CAN DRIVE A 200 THOUSAND DOLLAR CAR IN A YEAR. IF THEY KNOW HOW TO IT, THEY SHOULD HAVE DID IT THEM SELVES. SO ONLY GET COACHING FROM GOOD ESTABLISHED IM FROM THIS FORUM, THERE ARE ALOT OF GOOD PEOPLE.
