What's Wrong With My Articles???

Hi,

although I am not new to IM, I admit this is the first time I tried to use articles to drive traffic to my website (never needed to before). This is an example of my article:

http://ezinearticles.com/?Forex-Trad...ied&id=6248717

Me and my buddy have submitted 5 such articles so far to EZA and a few other big directories, they have a couple hundred views each, but all the articles brought was about 3 or 4 visitors.

My question is - WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG?

Although we mainly use affiliate marketing, we don't want to throw away the opportunity to drive additional traffic by articles. Thank you very much!

That is a weak call to action. Do some research about how to write resource boxes that get clicks. Easy to find info.

      This.

You really need to capture attention and lead them over to your site. The article content is not bad you just need to play on the emotions a little more with your CTA.

You and your buddy need a good editor. If that article is typical of what you are submitting, the information seems to be there but the actual presentation is weak. Poor grammar and sentence structure make the information hard to access.

As others have pointed out, your call to action in the resource box is weak, but I think it's the mechanics of the article that are really hurting you.

A minor factor could be the author picture, too. It looks like a head shot cropped from someone's holiday photo, rather than a professional trader. And before you tell me that appearance doesn't matter trading online, realize that even if people apply that thinking to themselves, they want their teachers to look like successful pros...

      This ... exactly.

The comment made above by others about the "call to action" being weak, in the resource-box, is certainly correct. But I don't think this is the main problem.

I think the problem is that many readers aren't getting as far as the resource-box, because the poor grammar and sentence-structure are losing quite some proportion of the readers at an earlier stage.

I also agree with John above that the author photo is certainly not doing you any favours. It's really a great mismatch for the content/niche.

Some of my best advice is to blend the last two sentenced within your bio box, that way the reader flows right into your call to action.
