1. Why does it say "invalid links" in my message when it is a link to my site and it is clearly valid? 2. Why does the spam number go up when you add links to the emails? Any thoughts appreciated. |

You may not have the http:// before the www Also, if your spam count goes up w/a link a little, don't worry. You're email should stillget through. Spam generally has to have a link, which makes it spam, but as long as you're under the warning limit you'll be fine. ~Mike Cowles. <>< |

If you are using AWeber Analytics with tracking, then the "invalid links" error message means that the page you are linking to does not have the AWeber tracking code installed yet. What you need to do is go in your account, input the domain and then obtain the AWeber javascript code to enable tracking. Then you simply place the javascript code on each page you want to track - before the </body> tag. This then allows you to track specifically which subscribers visit (or don't visit) the page. Here's a link on how to use click tracking in AWeber: http://www.aweber.com/faq/questions/...b+Analytics%3F (no affil.) If you don't want to track your visitors for the AR or broadcast, then simply turn the tracking off and then the invalid links will disappear too. Quote:
of spam e-mails. So if you have links in your message it appears more spammy even though you may have legitimate reasons for having links in your messages. Dedicated to your success, Shaun

When I played with HTML, I noticed that as soon as I added any HTML to a message, the spam score went up - even just the <a> tags to make a link. I send only plain text, and adding a link to those does not increase the spam score Aweber shows. However that spam checker is not the same one used by every email provider, so even an Aweber spam score of zero is no guarantee some wacky email system won't consider your message to be spam. The funny thing is that a lot of the real spam I get has no links in it.

I've heard that sending plain text is better. I have been sending both. I think I'll have to go back and just use plain text from here.

Plain text does in fact get a better delivery rate. So I agree, try just plain text. Did you get the link issue fixed? |

The link issue is not fixed yet. I've looked everywhere and tried what Shaun suggested and found I already had the tracking. I'll keep working at it. Thanks for the responses everyone. Much appreciated.
